I went to my prom to please my girlfriend. The whole thing was shit, despite the fact that I entered it with the best of intentions. I danced, I made jokes, but nothing could save the night from the fact that there was nothing special about it. Basically you spend 100+$ on the ticket alone to go clubbing with people you don't really like. I could have spent the money I blew on prom on an extra tom or cymbal for my drum kit.
