I know Clive Barker didn't direct every HELLRAISER film but the it was spawned from his incredible intellectual mind.

So which HELLRAISER movie is your favorite?

Probably a very simple question.

I love the first three but I have to take the obvious choice.

Nothing can touch the first one although "Hellbound" is damn close.

You have to go with the first one. Just creepy and leaves and unsettling feeling in your stomach. I like the way this was filmed with the dark lighting and overall low budget feel to it.

Hellbound. More of the Cenobites!

Yep!

My favorite Clive Barker will always be Nightbreed, though.

Cronenberg just has this creepy vibe, he should've acted in more movies.

I agree about Cronenberg too, Nightbreed is an excellent film...He did have a small bit part as a hit man in To Die For, if I'm not mistaken, too..

My vote went for the first Hellraiser, BTW...Nothing more than a classic!!

Wow Storm!

I had forgotten about that!

David Cronenberg is in "Nightbreed!"

I have the dvd buried somewhere in my vast collection.

I will have to dig that one out, although being addicted to Blu-Ray these days it would be nice to get "Nightbreed" in HD.

At least Anchor Bay released "Hellraiser" on Blu.

Actually you guys, have you seen the cool HELLRAISER GAME CUBE BOX?

Anchor Bay put that out too.

It contains "Hellraiser" on Blu and then Hellbound and Hellraiser III on dvd. All housed inside that box.

Anyway I am a huge Cronenberg fanatic too.

I love his early films too.

Ever see his 1975 film called "Shivers?" It's AWESOME!

Everyone must love "Videodrome" and "Deadringers!"

Signed,

I have, and it is awesome!!

I have it on an old VHS tape, with the title "They Came From Within."

Sweet!!

Cheers!

Cronenberg's "Shivers" was a low budget thrill, as was his other schlock horror "Rabid" with ex-porn star Marylin Chambers.

Then of course he gave the world "The Fly" and best of all "Scanners" - love that film, and always famous for the exploding head scene! Lush

That was produced by Wes Craven but directed by a guy named Robert Kurtzman. Ya it was pretty good.

I voted for the first Hellraiser... before they made THE HEAD CENNOBITE into the one liner Pinhead. The Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker is a great book, which is what Hellraiser is based on. I LOVE Clive Barker... have any of you guys seen The Midnight Meat Train?

First Hellraiser kicked ass big style!

loved its originality first and foremost; the second HR was okay, but then just like the Halloween & Saw franchises, more is less.

That's great news! I didn't know that.

I do own all six of the Hellraiser movies.

One thing that I have noticed over the past three films is less Pinhead.

Why is that?

I hope the new movie has more Centibites in this one too.

I get the sense it will be a remake of the original rather then a continuation of the franchise.

seems like a common thing to do these days - remake after remake after remake.

Isn't there at least one director, producer, writer in Hollywood with an original idea any more?
