Pretty tough to choose, I would say heavy Prog, but I love a lot of these genres, and a couple I hate.

The problem with these subdivisions (for lack of better word) is that bands like Tull did more than just folk-prog. Thick as a Brick through Minstrel certainly weren't only folk. They didn't go full-on folk-prog until Songs From the Wood. Yet, they get categorized in that sub-genre.

 

I like just about every one of these for different reasons. As soon as I decided to pick one, I'd remember a band that I like that had another style. Can't pin it down to just one. How about good prog?

I generally prefer the heavier side ("Heavy Prog" "Prog Metal" and "Tech/Extreme Prog Metal")- thats not to say I don't enjoy the rest of it, though.

Symphonic Prog, don't think the name fits the bands in quotations, but whatever Yes is is my favorite subgenre..

I don't pay attention to pointless sub genres and sub-sub genres, but if I had to pick I guess it would be heavy prog. Rush and Porcupine Tree are my 2 favorite bands. Then symphonic prog because I love Yes and ELP.
