NeilPeartFan2112
QUOTE (PuppetKing2112 @ Feb 25 2005, 09:15 PM) Let me try my hand at this...there are way too many to name but here are the main ones, BESIDES RUSH!!! The Who The Police The Mars Volta Nine Inch Nails Pink Floyd Yes Green Day Nirvana Metallica (everything up through Justice and about half of the Black Album) Kate Bush David Bowie Bob Marley Zeppelin (although I'm kind of burned out on them at this point) The Beastie Boys Guns & Roses There's more...I'll post it if I think of it. GREEN DAY IS HORRENDOUS!!! Hey Green Day,
PuppetKing2112
Simply because they don't exactly worship the president doesn't mean they don't make good music...I consider them to be the Nirvana of the whole pop-punk thing...talented band, but tey spawned a generation of shitty ripoff bands that they ended up getting lumped in with sadly...but American Idiot is a masterpiece, and just because you are offended by the title doesn't mean you have to go around saying they are "horrendous" in every post... BTW...HORRENDOUS...hate that word, now that you use it so much to describe bands I like...
kazzman
QUOTE (NeilPeartFan2112 @ Feb 26 2005, 12:30 AM) GREEN DAY IS HORRENDOUS!!! Hey Green Day, So exactly how would you feel if somebody went up to you and told you that Led Zeppelin, or Dio were "horrendous?" Hell, how would you feel if the same person told you that Rush was "horrendous?" It has also come to my attention that you think that Nine Inch Nails is "horrendous." You do realize that Trent Reznor has more talent than all of Dio combined, right?
PuppetKing2112
Kazz is exactly right about Trent Reznor...nothing against Dio...I'm not very familiar with their music but form what people say their albums are pretty much interchangeable...but Trent puts so much passion into his work, and his band kicks so much ass live (get the "All That Could Have Been" DVD for proof of this)...Moonie, help me out here. As for dissing on Green Day...I know how offended you get every time someone says something bad about Rush...remember when I told you that I saw Through the Camera Eye at Blockbuster and my friend didn't want to rent it? You said something like "What a loser...you should stop being friends with him." And when I told you that my mom's main problem with Rush is Geddy's voice you were absloutely outraged at the fact that anyone can think his voice is anything less than angelic...I personally think he has a great voice, but I can see how others would have a problem with that... PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERENT TASTES IN MUSIC, and you tell me on AIM all the time that NIN and Green Day are (to once again use your word of the week) horrendous, and thats cool, but to just quote my post and say the exact same thing...just to get enough posts to take you up to the "Professor" level... Chill out man, in the new music purchases thread you make like 5 posts about Dio but you don't see me quoting them and saying "DIO IS HORRENDOUS" with a bunch of stupid smilies after it... Sorry if this is coming off like a flame fest, or an incohenent rant...you're still cool man...

I was just making a joke, and everyone blows it way out of porportion. And what do you mean quote your posts and say the exact same thing? PuppetKing2112
I know...the outburst was funny once, but now you do it at every opportunity and it just annoys me. I don't even think that Dio has all that much talent in their band, but their music sounds cool. What does that even have to do with this subject? NeilPeartFan2112
Puppetking, just so you know, you claim all of this is in good fun, so I say things that I think are jokes. Do you actually think that you should stop being friends with some kid because he didn't want to rent a video? If that is the case, you have some serious issues my friend. Also, what's the problem with horrendous? Do you have some sort of grudge against that word? Maybe I'm crazed, but I don't understand some of these ridiculous pet peeves of yours.
