EveryNerveAware Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 So...... if the Rays win game 5 tomorrow night, Thursday would be a travel day and game 6 would be on Friday night...? (Halloween)

(Halloween) Bud Selig said earlier on ESPN that they might not have a travel day.

May want to get Fox TVs hand off your pecker there Bud, you stuttering, mumbling prick...

I know it probably isn't possible but, can each team use the starters from the game before it was delayed if they choose to do so?
theredtamasrule Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 ... * yawn * ... * stretch * ... So is the Series over with yet? Nice job of screwing the pooch ya bunch of old jerkoffs. Might want to mix in a dopplar radar next year and try starting games that are in the northeast and in freaking October/November during the day...you know, with, like, sunlight and stuff when it's warm and not snowing. Dumbasses..well, maybe the rain & snow will help keep Philly from burning to the ground during the celebration riots...if enough people are still interested to riot & burn.
Ancient Ways Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Hey Lerxst, Still want to know why we have a dome doen here? Wow. that game the other night was ugly. bad idea to even start it. Upton could have easily gotten injured in the top of the sixth running through the quagmire.
GhostRider712 Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 YAHOOOO THE PHILLIES WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ashpkt Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 I love it!!! Their boo-ing Selig. F*cking schmuck is lucky the Phills won.
ashpkt Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Damn man...makes me wanna head to Pat's Steaks
Ancient Ways Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 congrats phillie phans. I had my finger on the power button during Hinske's at bat and shut it off the second he was out. I just can;t bear to watch any more. These baseball series go on so long that it's just too damn emotional. I've seen the Bucs get bounced out of the playoffs numerous times including two NFC titles games (Rams both times) and this hurts so much worse than any of that. Even the stress of playing calgary in game 7 wasn;t this bad.

They're a very good, and young, baseball team.
theredtamasrule Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 As a lifelong Braves fan let me be the first to say, "screw the Phillies!"

While I was there last summer for work and taking in a Phillies game. A guy told me to go there but I never made it. Congrats Phils even though you beat my Dodgers
Arndrake Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 The best thing I saw from the Phillies' win was to see the Crafty Veteran Jamie Moyer finally receive his first championship in his original home state, although he is calling Seattle home now. Especially after his struggles during the NLDS and NLCS, he pitched what had to be the game of his life although he didn't get the win. In an era where athletes' careers are usually over before they reach 40, Jamie still got it done this season with 16 wins at the age of 45 and looks like he could go at least two more years. The Rays have nothing to be ashamed of. I think they will be back. Congratulations to Jamie Moyer and the Phillies.

Most don't, and those that are fortunate enough to be on a team to have won a championship deserve it!!
lerxt1990 Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 Oh boy it is bedlam here. Way to go Phillies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's to the Rays - a formidable opponent to the very, very end. The Rays are here to stay, youll hear form them again real soon folks. God Bless the Phillies.
