Powderfinger
I tried to restrain myself. Like each of you, to be sure, I feel music deeply. I rarely listen to music that doesn't personally and powerfully resonate within me. That said, these are the songs that have meant the most to me over the years and conjure the strongest emotional response—the songs that can really make me choke up, or take me to a time and place where something monumental in my personal life unfolded: Little Feat - Fool YourselfThe Black Crowes - DescendingThe Black Crowes - My Morning SongThe Black Crowes - Cursed DiamondPeter Gabriel - Solsbury HillVan Morrison - Saint Dominic's PreviewThe Who - Love Reign O'er MeThe Rolling Stones - Moonlight MileYes - And You and IJackson Browne - These DaysJackson Browne - The Birds of St. MarksNick Drake - Hazey Jane IDavid Bowie and Queen - Under PressureSun Kil Moon - Salvador SanchezChris Squire - You By My SideThe Cure - A Letter to EliseJohn Lennon - Watching the WheelsGeorge Harrison - All Things Must PassGraham Nash - Simple ManIdaho - This Cloud We're OnMagnolia Electric Co. - Just Be SimpleNeil Young - Borrowed TuneRichard Buckner - Song of 27Smog - Teenage SpaceshipRush - The PassStrugglers - NecrophiliaTownes Van Zandt - Only Him or MeU2 - Bad

MMCXII
Nice thread idea. For me these are songs that when you hear them, immediately take you back to a time and a place. Number one for me is Lazy by Deep Purple! This was my very first favorite song ever from the time my big brother brought the Machine Head album home because he heard it on a ride at an exhibition. I was about 6 or 7 at the time .. :) Other song that have this effect on me are: More than a feeling - BostonI was made for lovin you - KissArmageddon - PrismAngel of death - Thin LizzyFool's overture - Supertramp
