This list is based on what I hear on the NY/NJ stations.

If you picked "Other", please write it in. I'm curious if the same songs are being played to death everywhere, or if there's regional variations.

I don't listen to much radio these days, but I am getting tired of that new Kid Rock song on country radio all the time. laugh.gif

TBH, it's probably Freebird (studio version is boring, live rocks), Stairway to Heaven (I don't mind), and Another Brick In The Wall (Part II) (which I also don't mind).

Stairway to Heaven is NEVER played here and if it is, it's shortened.

i've heard Stairway on the radio once, in any form, and it was during a "greatest rock songs of all time" countdown.

All of them.  Also, you forgot "Every Breath You Take" by the Police.

Yup, all of the above new_thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Except for the obvious odd one out. I doubt 99% of programmers here have even heard of the mighty Rush. Contemptible swines 1287.gif

Owner Of A Lonely Heart!! laugh.gif

But out of those, I think I'd pick Brick In The Wall. Although Walk This Way and the Queen songs are close.

Some of those I'd actually like to hear more on the radio, like Money and You Better You Bet...

Of the ones on this list sweet home alabama. Where I live we do not have a classic rock music station. I can tell you that the mainstream rock songs are way more over played than any of the ones in your poll.

Songs like "It's been awhile" and stuff like that.

That post could easily have been written by someone in the DC area.

That is exactly the overplayed song I would pick as well.

Me Sirius for the last 3 years, I must confess though I listen to talk far more than music on my Sirius.

Anything off of " Dark Side"

And i am SICK OF hearing the whole Appetite for Destruction..when did this become the most popular album of all time?....I just don't get it. WAAF here in Mass. plays a cut off it every hour it seems.

And i'm done with hearing all the standard Zeppelin.

Boston as well.

I don't listen to the radio anymore for the most part.

laugh.gif I remember that countdown. We had bets on the top 5!

Yeah I would say whatever the newest 'hit' is at the time is the most played song on the radio. So it changes once its no longer the 'flavour of the minute' as Fledge put it....

Same here... except Sirius.

By the way, now that the Sirius/XM merger has been approved, when will their customers be able to get all channels from both sources??

What did you do, find my local station's playlist? Jeez...

They STILL play "Satisfaction". Makes me growl out loud when they do it. Plus all those Neil Young songs with those brain-cell killing one note solos.

I try to change the station here at work and it gets changed back. Apparently my supervisor cannot live without these songs.
