How bittersweet is it to see a 40th anniversay tour without Jon Anderson ? confused13.gif

I hope its still worth it to the diehard fan out there. I'll be curious to hear the feedback.

Its one of those things that I think I will regret it if I don't seem them.

anyone know the lineup? is wakeman in?

They do have a Wakeman-- Oliver Wakeman.

Speaking of, who here has heard Oliver's playing? Is he as talented as his dad? I love the elder Wakeman, but I haven't heard anything by his son.

I do understand. I'm sure it will still be good, its just a bummer Jon is not there.

I have been able to see Yes live before, I am thankful to say. Around 99 0r 2000, and I was about 12 years old.

That was my first ever concert..........Yes.

I saw Yes only once, on the 90125 tour. (damn that 90210 show ! it always makes me question the title of that Yes album biggrin.gif ) Anhow, it must have been 86 ? They were absolutly incredible. The loss of Jon Anderson on this tour, is harder to overcome, then Trevor Rabin in place of Steve Howe, on that one. Trevor Rabin was so good, it did not seem to make a huge difference that Howe was missing.

I do rememder Yes being with Trevor Horn on the "Drama" album, though im not familiar with the record, and I don't know how Yes was recieved by the fans on that tour.

I will say one thing. I saw Jouney a couple of years back with Steve Augeri on vocals, and it was quite authentic, and a very good show.

i have seen the new "UNDERSTUDY" singer on you tube and he is quite good...Chris Squire says that Jon could NEVER be replaced....and I agree, how ever...vocals on this david benoit dude are remarkable...i am a HUGE HUGE yes fan seen them at leat 20 times in various forms and members here and there...Jon will truly be missed but the two guitar players Steve and chris to me are the backbone...with out them it is a totally different band....

Still it will be a good show I have no doubts...It is all about the music that the musicians can make together..
