I know one person who says he loves it...but he's a big Lou Reed fan.

From what I've gathered it was made for Lou Reed fans anyways. Still, one of the most nonsensical collabs of all time. Right there with Spiritbox collaborating with Megan The Stallion.

Spiritbox and Megan really isn't that crazy to me today. Kids today are way more open minded with genres, and Spiritbox have a very commercial leaning anyway.

My issue isn't with it leaning commercial. It's that it produced a bad song and the only thing Spiritbox has done so far which I would consider to be shit.

Hence why I want Swift and Hetfield to share the mic, lol.

Taylor Swift, has tried, and played some hard rock, when Def Leppard, and her did a show called "CMT Crossroads".  I don't want to see, and hear anymore songs of, and from some country, hard rock, and heavy metal artists, bands, and groups trying to do any sort of collaborations together.  Don't forget the Classic rock last song's list thread, too.

I'm seeing Primus and Fishbone this Friday with Coheed & Cambria as an opener. I gave Coheed another try today and after 12 years, I can finally say I no longer hate them.

Best I can do atm.

His voice is like Geddy's in that everyone I know of who doesn't like them or Rush is because of the voice. Kind of like me and Cookie Monster "vocals." No sir, I don't like it.

Geddy's voice is much more accessible to my ears than Coheed's singer .I also dislike the singer for Dream Theater and Periphery.

Coheed has too much pop-punk/hardcore influence in their music for my liking. Which is fine, but I'm not super into that.

I didn't mean they were similar only that his voice is "unique" as is Geddy's and a lot of people don't care for it.

Very high pitched lead vox, conceptual prog space opera shenanigans, heavy and complicated riffage. On paper they have a lot in common but it breaks down once you realize they have really strikingly different musical vocabularies.

Yeah their singing styles are totally different. This one just doesn't gel. And I like others with less pleasing voices like Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Neil Young, or Gord Downie.

Coheed are great live. I saw porcupine tree open for coheed. I only have one record so not a big fan but I do respect them.

Steven came out and it was kind of strange watching the coheed fans reaction to the Incident.

Primus sucks!

Not only is Animals the best Pink Floyd album, but it’s at least an entire league better than The Wall, and so are Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here.

To put it another way, The Wall is severely overrated, and Another Brick In The Wall is one of the only parts of it I’m particularly fond of anymore.

I rarely listen to The Wall these days - too much Roger influence  - I'm a Dave guy more...

Agreed. I spun The Wall in full a month or two ago and it just feels so… heavy. Thinkpiecey. Discoursy. Edgy. Oversimplified. Hyperbolic. Heck, almost like propoganda.

Animals is just three fantastic song performances with a pretty little ditty to lead you in and out. Oh sure it’s political too, but it’s music first, message second. The Wall doesn’t give the music near enough space to breathe.

You guys ever listen to the Les Claypool version of Animals? His band seemed to have a blast putting their own spin on it.

I haven’t. Sounds interesting though!

I like sides 1 and 2 of the Wall as most of it is proper songs and they're really good.  But side 3 and especially 4 get into Waters more dramatic stuff and it bogs things down a lot.

I will say I DID see Waters Wall show.  and this record does SO much better live. like a billion times better.

but since we're talking the record......see above.

Also sorry to upset fans but kinda shitty people.......ALL AROUND.  Stevie was jumping around from man to man seems like every week...INCLUDING their drummer.....SLAMMING cocaine......Lindsey once tried to joke her out.  Christine was dating another guy right in front of her Ex.  not the worst thing but still COLD.

this band was a fuckking circus, lol
