earthshine21122 Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 HOOCH!! Hooch is a homemade beverage made w/apple cider (organic-not pasturized), molasses and brewer's champagne yeast. It has a boom-a-rang effect, goes down smooth, while drinking, you can't smell or taste the alcohol, but you catch a nice buzz midway before putting down your glass. Before my boyfriend and I broke a thermometer looking device that shows alcohol content the average batch is usually around 12%, depending on how much sugars added. The next batch will be ready tomorrow - added natural cranberry juice, this is a new twist, hope it tastes good. 1

1-0-0-1-0-0-1 Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 QUOTE (furie @ Feb 19 2005, 08:13 PM) Saranac Pale Ale Nice choice, furie! I'm sipping a Sierra Nevada Porter. My first time trying it...it has nice carbonation for a porter, with nice coffee and chocolate undertones. And I'm listening to "Afterimage" while I enjoy this beer. (Cheers, Sing! ) 1
