I'm not looking at it in a negative way regarding the albums after Hold Your Fire more in a very positive way regarding Snakes & Arrows. I think this has been a resurgeance for the band.

Not to repeat myself or anything, but - I thought the same thing when I saw this thread this morning. We've visited this topic fairly recently!

 

On the other hand, I suspect that most people here are like me - we go through phases of what's favorite and what's not. Right? Doesn't matter what age you are, either - I've been listening to Rush for their entire career (a.k.a. my entire adult life ) and I still do this.

 

If you'd asked me early last year which album was my favorite after S&A, it would likely have been Moving Pictures or Hemispheres. Or if you'd asked me this past fall, it was probably Roll the Bones. But now it's Counterparts. Ask me again in a few months and I might have learned to like Vapor Trails

 

Or maybe I'm just fickle?

 

Or have too many albums on my mp3 player!

Counterparts, definitely. T4E and VT don't have the "edge" that CP has, IMO.

i have to say MP. I love CP but the style and passion which has come over on S&A by the band I have bot heard since MR. IMO

I used to say Signals, but I've since grown into Power Windows so much, so that's my pick.

The best since Counterparts, since I haven't heard all of Vapor Trails and HAVE heard all of Test for Echo.

 

CP is much better though, IMO. And older 80's stuff like Signals, GUP, Power Windows and HYF eat it alive.

 

..But it's better than T4E, and that's pretty cool.
