RushCanuck
Thanks for ELP pictures. brings back lots of memories. I saw them twice in the 70s, once with the orchestra. Love their music and their superior musical skills. They were awesome looking back then too. Greg Lake is pudgey these days... too bad. Did you read Keith's autobiography? They were bad boys in their younger days, not like Rush.

Did you read Keith's autobiography? They were bad boys in their younger days, not like Rush. You are lucky too I saw them twice but in the 90s... You are welcome!!! I don't know much with whom to share these pics cause i've not many friends who are keen on this kind of guys I'd love to read Keith's book... as also Neil's Ghost Rider... but well, i'll have to see how to get them from abroad... i am Argentinian and so we don't get too much stuff, especially books, from other countries. I'll have to check how and where to order them! For what i could learn (some excerpts i read and some things Keith himself told about the book) I could see they were no angels... at all!!! hahahah... but well, it also could be seen on stage, right? Im afraid the closest I'll come is seeing Emerson and Lake a few months ago QUOTE Did you read Keith's autobiography? They were bad boys in their younger days, not like Rush. How is the book? RushCanuck
Regarding Keith Emerson's autobiography Pictures at an Exhibition, here are my opinions. It was candid, some parts too candid. They were a prog rock band with a mainly men based following, but he did describe some encounters with female fans (shocking for this 50 something female to read, just my opinion). But, ELP back in the 70s will always have a special place in my heart - loved their music at that time, still do. I ordered his book from Amazon. A point about Neil's Peart's books - I bought all 4. Ghost Rider is very moving and gives good insight into how he survived his tragedies. The others are also good imo.

I can see them all being like that. When I met Carl he was so charming he even kissed my hand... he's considerably older than I am but I felt the heat. He is sexy. HowItIs
Rushchick, you will love Roadshow! Then read Traveling Music. I read all three of Pratt's books right after the other, starting with Ghost Rider. That book was amazing - I shared with others who have lost loved ones recently and I think I've started a club! I wish I could thank Neil for writing it.

RushCanuck
He actually has written 4 books. The first book is the Masked Rider - Cycling in West Africa. Then came Ghost Rider, Travelling Music, and last Roadshow. I still need to read Masked Rider, but i read the other 3 and enjoyed them all. I wish I could thank Neil for writing it. Actually, Pratt has written 4 books, the first one being The Masked Rider about a bicycling trip he took in west Africa in the late 80's. That book was very pivotal for me, because it got me hooked on cycling. The only one I haven't read is Roadshow, but I have it started now. HowItIs
Yeah, I know about The Masked Rider but it's apparently out-of-print right now. I downloaded the other three to my Kindle which, on the one hand, was instantaneous but OTOH, no pictures. Amazon says that it can get TMR in 3-6 months. *bugger*
