Janie
I just snapped this the other day. Con was laughing up a storm so I went to check in on what was so funny. Kermy has this new habit of hiding out in Connor's room. I had no idea he was in there. And then he went and hopped in the crib. Thinking he was going to nap I'm sure. Lo and behold, who knew pulling a fluffy kitty tail was so much fun. Kerms is the best cat ever. He just sat there and took it. http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo228/LifesonPics/ConandCrum-2.jpg

When I was young, my cat scratched the shit out of me if I went near it, never mind pulling her tail. That cat did have some serious issues though. If she didn't want you in the room, you stayed out of the room... In the end we got her put down, because it got to the point where she was hurting herself by attacking doors and table and chair legs, knocking her own teeth out and things. My grandparents had a cat that would kick anyone's ass if they looked at her cross-eyed. In my experience, male cats are way more friendly than females, especially female cats that have had litters. It seems like the more litters they have, the crabbier they become. And "kitty" had a litter or two a year for her entire life. My last memory of her is me, about three years old, seeking protection from under a table while this gray cat stalked me with the look of, "I'm gonna sink my fangs right into the fattest part of your leg kid." One theory I developed working as a vet tech for 2 years: the dumber the cat, the better the personality. Seriously. We had a kitty patient named Larry who may well have taken the title for dumbest MAMMAL ever. He was so sweet, though. You could do anything with him. I loved when Larry came for a visit; you'd be giving him shots and poking and prodding and shoving a thermometer up his butt, and he'd just cuddle and lick your hands. The cat LOVED to be bathed, too.
ILSnwdog
I took my kids fishing off of the pier at my inlaws house last week. My son caught is first fish. http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t246/ILsnwdog/Connorfirstfish.jpg Here are both of my little anglers. http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t246/ILsnwdog/ConnorandtorifishingII.jpg And here I am with my daughter. http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t246/ILsnwdog/torifishing.jpg
Janie
Too cute!! I bet they were so proud to catch their own fish. I loved to go fishing with my dad. We have the same "first fish" pic in our family album. I caught a Rainbow Trout and I *refused* to touch it. I even remember my mom frying it up in a pan! Janie
Both of these were taken a few days ago. This one is Junior #1, at his school. I went to see his class perform a little song and dance in their music class. After the performance he stayed at the door and waved to me the entire time the teacher was trying to close the door! Too cute but in a break-your-heart kind of way. http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo228/LifesonPics/Picture1094-1.jpg Here's Junior #2 rocking out on his favorite TOTeM (toy of the moment). It has a microphone that lights up and plays a song when you say something in front of it. It also has a "drum, ""keyboard," and "guitar." http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo228/LifesonPics/Picture1097-1.jpg

GhostGirl
I've really been feeling things changing at my house. My oldest will be 13 in 3 months, and he is (appropriately) becoming more independent and relating to me differently. I won't lie. It's hard. I posted on FB this morning that I'm struggling to adjust...going from a little boy's mama to a teenager's mom. 2004/2010 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v297/RushBabe/Kerry/Kerry_6-26-04-1.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v297/RushBabe/Kerry/Kman.jpg <sigh>

I'm sure it's different for a mom though.
