This was so cute. The other night we had just settled him into his own bed and about as soon as I walked downstairs to watch a little tv before putting myself to bed, here he comes down the stairs to hang out with me. He brought his own pillow and dragged a blanket the entire way. Put the pillow on my lap and curled up there. Do you like how I'm using his back as an arm rest!? wink.gif

That pic called up my attention. It's a great one, Janie.

It's a beautiful scene to look at. smile.gif

He's too adorable for words sometimes. We hang out all day together and yet when he's supposed to go to bed he still wants to hang out. Last night I was heading out to pick up dinner (take-out) and had to make a quick run to the grocery store and every time I announced I was getting ready to leave, he would do something to stop me! He would bring down a book, want to cuddle on the couch... anything to make me stay. And yes, I could have taken him with me but that would have involved getting him out of his jammies and then trying to contain a 3-year-old who is a wild man when he gets out in public.

He's such a sweet little man wub.gif Most likely he's being that much more attentive unconsciously knowing soon that at least 65% of your attention is going to be focused more on the baby than on him, and wants to get his Mommy time as much as he can now heart.gif

Quite possibly! I've been trying not to talk about "baby brother Alex" too much. I don't want to focus on the baby to the point where he starts to feel left out and such.

Last week he started doing this new thing that is beyond words cute. If I'm trying to leave the room, the house or like last night, make dinner, he'll wrap his arms around both my legs and "hug" me in a kind of panicked state. Either that or he'll tickle me while looking up at me and he squints his little eyes and crinkles his nose and smiles. I think he has learned that his cute tactics work 110% with mom!

Very soon he'll have to share your attention with his brother so, he needs his mommy close. ^-^

I think he knows it too! He's been getting pretty clingy. More than usual!

I love the little bugger.

biggrin.gif thanks! yeah, he loves his roundabout smile.gif there's a 5-key monophonic keyboard on there that he plays - and actually hits the same notes that are being played on his Baby Einstein DVD just as they are being played! ohmy.gif This has happened numerous times, so we know it's more than just a coincidence. We're going to get him a better keyboard for Christmas and see what he does with it smile.gif

I want to get baby #2 (who is still nameless btw) one of these things. So, he really likes it, eh? They look like a lot of fun. We have two different exersaucers but I want this roundabout thing.
