One of my very favorites; I've probably seen it a hundred times.

My favorite part was when "Owen" picked them up outside the motel. That strange noise he made with his nose, and this line:

OWEN: She's short and skinny, but she's strong. Her first baby came out sideways; she didn't scream or nothin'.

"...You play with your balls"

"I do not play with my balls"

"Do you have $17 and a good watch?"

"No, I have $2 and a.... casio "

I love that movie. Very funny. I too will watch tonight.

Is it on TV? Looks like no sad.gif

I have the DVD. I used to watch it on TV, but they edit out too many funny parts... unless it's on a movie channel, which I don't get.

True. I saw Uncle Buck on digital cable and saw some good uncut parts.

That's my favorite line from the movie, and I use that quote when ever and where ever possible! laugh.gif

I love this movie as well. Do you ever notice how John Hughes movies all have a serious part? As funny as this movie is, it makes me want to cry whenever I see the part where Steve Martin is almost home and he realizes John Candy has no family and is alone for Thanksgiving and that he is so lonely that he traveled to Chicago just to have Steve's company. fists crying.gif

I can't say that about Steel Magnolias.

I think we had a thread here about Uncle Buck also. John Candy checked out during his prime. Bummer.
