Ok, I picked Bruce Willis for his role as John McClane in the Die Hard series. (I've yet to see the latest installment, I will, when it hits video.

John his the quintessential tough guy, he has endured attacks from German brothers absolutely bent on torturing him to death, not just killing him, but beating the living crap out of him. Then he had nearly every inch of hid body cut, scraped, bruised or sprained in his efforts to save building occupants, airline passengers and school children from the most sadistic individuals this side of Jason, Freddy and Chuckie the doll.

Bruce is, without a doubt, the toughest Hollywood guy ever.

Steve McQueen.

Before he became an actor, he was a Marine, a lumberjack, and a bartender.

McQueen was trained in martial arts by both Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris, he also performed many of his own stunts and was a motorcycle racing enthusiast. And the man was the undisputed king of cool.

True, but it's not a "coolest" poll. tongue.gif

Good choice. Though, I do think Clint could kick his ass!

McQueen made some great movies, but do you realize the great roles he turned down or lost out on?

Apocalypse Now

Dirty Harry

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

First Blood

Imagine what could've been!

I always liked how Clint's character always remained calm unlike some screamers: Rambo, any Ahnold character, Willis in the Die Hard series. Even when Clint was getting his ass whipped he stilled didn't moan in pain. That's one tough mutha!

For me it is a tie between John Wayne and Humphrey Bogart. They both battled with illness. One with cancer the other with alcoholism.

We agree on something! (pauses for Hell to freeze over) tongue.gif

I went with John Wayne! Big, imposing figure, with an unmistakable swagger.

Scary eye patch, too!

In a real fight, I bet Steve McQueen (age for age) would have kicked Cint Eastwoods ass. smile.gif

I picked Clint Eastwood. I saw an interview with Charlie Sheen speaking about the movie The Rookie. In the scene where Charlie catches Clint's fist, stopping him from getting punched in the face, he said his hand hurt for days after shooting that scene". Just to remind you all, that movie was made when Clint was 60.

For someone that isn't on the list I pick Chef Gordon Ramsey. tongue.gif
