Will S&A come out on Vinyl?

Well...to my knowledge, every Rush album has been released on Vinyl.

So, my guess would be that we will see S&A released on Vinyl. Who knows when or where, but you can be sure that there will be some sort of vinyl release (limited-edition).

I was very happy to get Feedback on Vinyl...very cool! 1022.gif

Actually test for echo is the only Rush studio album that hasn't been released on LP.

I read somewhere that they would release it as an 8-track. Could have been a rumor, but as a collectors item none the less, like how many of us still have an 8-track player............................and it still works.

I pre-oredered the S & A vinyl at a local record shop here so I guess it will be available but probably for only a short time. They told me it probably won't be available til a little after the official release date of the CD.

Tried to order the VT but was told it is out of print now. I have the Feedback vinyl. I need to get the 90's albums.

I love vinyl and started out listening to Rush on vinyl. I'll be trying to get it but I don't know where. The local record store can be less than eager to special order stuff.

Yeah i love that hiss and pop you get on vinyl, lets me know that it's an imperfect world. Quite appropriate for the religious theme that S & A has....you know its an ancient outdated format for ancient outdated concept.

Same boat here - I have all the original Rush vinyl I bought back in highschool (1st album thru GUP) and still play them occasionally even though I have all of them on CD too.

Not sure where I can buy the vinyl version of S&A, but I will be looking.

I thought that the last several albums were too long for vinyl. I was lead to believe the the reason the last several studio works were longer was because of the advent of CD Rom. Do they really still make music on vinyl? And what would be the point? Seriously clue me in. smile.gif What do the people who press vinyl have to gain?

Vinal is loved by many people including me. I have over 1500 lp's and i listen to about 4-5 a week. sometimes more. I enjoy the sound more than a cd sometimes. With cd's the highs tend to cut out a little early. For example, The final splash of the symbal by niel rings out longer on the lp than it does on the cd. Just yesterday i listened to Vapor Trails on vinal for the first time in about a year. I hope that S&A will be relesed on 2 lp's. I am pretty sure it will be for Feedback is available on lp. I have a Music Hall MMF-9 Turntable and for the money you wont find much better. Invest a little money in a nice turntable and some lp's that are in good to mint condition and i will bet you will find that you will enjoy it. Just my 2 cents.

Happy Rushing

great example w/ cymbals!

The industry standard in high end audio around these parts is to put on Aja by steely dan (vinyl) and listen to how how LOOOONG the cymbals ring out and the vocal fade of the female back up singers lasts on "black cow" with the right turntable and a really sweet speaker setup, then to compare it with the cd version.

No comparison.

It is unbelievable how much is missing from a cd, w/ the right turntable stylus/cartridge and speaker set up the music breathes and if you close your eyes they are in the room w/ you.

Vinyl should never go away.
