barney_rebel
I grabbed the DVD torrent of Mandrake 10.1... installed like a charm. Very neat, and cool looking distro.
furie
does Microsoft make servers?
Hero of Nobody
Yes they do. Server2003 is one example of their products. The thing is, Linux is so much more customizable, and more cost effective. Not to mention much more stable. So more and more businesses are jumping on the linux bandwagon. Hero of Nobody
I am currently running IIS on 2003 on one box, and apache on a Fedora box. Both are stable, but I have had one instance where the windows box kept crashing after I installed my dynamic dns updater. Reinstalled the updater, and it seems to be ok now. But I've never had a crash with any linux machine - he it a server or client.
