I caught the ending of Buckethead on Soundstage (PBS) a couple weeks
ago, and thought it was some "wild shtuff". I looked for his
discography and there was a lot there to pick from. Listening to a couple of song clips, I found some of it was a little out-there, but I like a good guitar jam.

Near the end of the show he was playing some funk with George Clinton.
I like a little funk or anything close to RUSH.

Any recommendations on which album to buy or songs to look for.

For mellow stuff get:

Colma

Electric Tears

Chicken Noodles

For Blues/fusion jam stuff:

Population Overide

or any of the Thanatopsis CDs

For Experimental Heavy Shredding:

Cuckoo Clocks of Hell

Kaleidoscalp

The Island of Lost Minds

For Ambient Stuff:

Any of the Death Cube K albums

For Melodic Tunes/great riffs/shred/experimental:

Inbred Mountain

The Elephant Man's Alarm Clock

Pepper's Ghost

Crime Scene Slunk

Others

Enter The Chicken

Bucketheadland 2

Monsters and Robots

Giant Robot

Special Recommendation:

Octave of the Holy Innocents w/Jonas Hellborg

That'll do you for now...

Treeduck, do you have Blueprints? If so your impressions, please. Apparently it will be re-pressed.

No that's one I've not got as yet...

I'll have to see about getting it...

I love the Deli Creeps!

I can't remember if I told you this but luckily a buddy of mine was into the Deli Creeps many many many moons ago. So we went to the Omni in Berkeley and saw them play. They were out there but I loved it. I think that was the same time when I was hardcore into Primus, Jane's Addiction and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Those were the daze!!!!!!

BUCKETHEAD RULES!

I've heard a few of his songs and have been blown away. EDIT to acknowledge a likely ID on Buckethead which I hadn't seen because I hadn't scrolled all the way back. doh.gif

I like his style overall, and I think I'd even like it without the whole character thing.

^^ Treeduck, Its great and a big improvement in terms of sound quality over the copy I downloaded just hours before this was announced. The version I downloaded was 24 tracks, now its 57 or something like that.

I really like it in that is funny ( at least to me ), really energetic and funky! He lays down some sick bass lines too!

Hope you get yours soon! 1022.gif

Have you downloaded Giant Robot NNT or Six String Giant from the links at TK yet?
