You know you're a Rush fan when...

When a radio station does a Countdown of the best songs from 1984, and you're disappointed that nothing from Grace Under Pressure is included.

You get excited when you see pictures of armor or swords....

When you see windmill or a windsock or something, you hum 'The Way The Wind Blows'

You hum 'Hand Over Fist' when playing/seeing someone play Rock, Paper, Scissors

You accidentally call a mountain pass 'The Pass'

You blast 'High Water' whenever flooding is in the news

You think of 'Countdown or 'Between Sun and Moon' when you see anything related to space

You sing 'Different Strings' when changing your guitar or bass strings

You want to fly to Asia so you can take a train to Bangkok

9:12 PM is your favorite time...

When your phone's storage is mostly occupied by Rush music

When most of your day is involved on TRF and listening to Rush music

When you refuse to listen to any other bands that aren't Rush because they aren't worthy

When you're 42 years old and still make air horn sounds while playing with your toy Rush tractor trailer promintently displayed in your office.

When you buy a turntable so you can collect Rush on vinyl.

When you buy a collector's tin with 2 Rush card decks.

I did both these.

How about this: when you collect Rush on vinyl and you DON'T have a turntable. That's me.

1.- When you think twice when you are asked what other rock groups you like besides :rush:

2.- When you say Geddy is the greatest on bass guitar ever ( sorry Ox)

3.- When you think there is nothing wrong about Rush´s backline and you find them interesting and intelligent.

4.- When you like all Rush´s eras ( 70´s, 80´s 90´s and 00´s 10´s etc etc etc)

5.- When your babies Lullaby songs are Subdivisions and Limelight ( this is really bad)

5.- When you think about Neil´s lyrics during the day.

When you find yourself quoting or paraphrasing Rush lyrics to help your friends and family through difficult times.

Seriously, it's amazing how often this happen. I think there is a Rush song for every situation.

Let's see how many original, funny ones we can come up with

1. You can accurately remember Geddy Lee's birthday faster than you can your own

2. You can accurately spell and pronounce Zivojinovich

3. You go nuts over all Rush references, no matter how minor

4. You go nuts over non-existant Rush references (e.g. "she said 'territory'! or an alphabet poster reading WwXxYyZz)

5. "Geddy's voice is just an acquired taste"

feel free to add ...I'm not going to use up all my ideas on the first post...

#4 is hilarious!

when you've done the math to see how old you would be if you lived until the year 2112 ... I'd be 146

After I did it for me, then I started trying to figure out if my kids or grandkids would live to see it- I could hand down my 2112 albums! :D

When you realize you left your collection of Rush CDs (because a Rush fan does not accept the inferior sound quality of ripped, let alone downloaded, digitals) in a rental car out of state...

When you call the rental facility to inquire if, just by chance, they have your collection of CDs...

When you find out they do not have that collection and likely never will...

and your first inclination is not morbid depression, but instead a trip to the local used music shop to immediately begin rebuilding your collection...

and you drop something in the neighborhood of $150 in the first visit....

and you realize you still have a long way to go.

PS This is how I spent my day.

PS 2. I am looking for a good number of remasters.... if you know of good opportunities in South Texas (yes, I know of the internet and Amazon Prime, but I am impatient people!), send me a PM

111, hoping medicine will progress enough as to live, at least, one second. First thought in the morning.

When you make your father almost crash the car because u saw a 2112 and yelled.
