Curious as to one`s view. Here is some ancient art work representing 'something'...

and of course in 329 BC

THE CATALOGUE-(i) B.C. TO 1946 A.D.

1. Middle East (_Reign of Alexander the Great_, 356-323 B.C.) A

historian of the reign of Alexander the Great allegedly tells of

two strange craft that dived repeatedly at his army, until the

war elephants, the men, and all the horses panicked and refused

to cross the river where the incident occurred... The historian

describes the objects as "great shining silvery shields,

spitting fire around the rims... things that came from the skies

and returned to the skies." Frank Edwards: 'Stranger Than

Science' (See notes.) (Pan Books, London), p. 198.

I can't vote, because my belief isn't an option given.

You've got two separate questions there - 1. do you believe aliens exist, and 2. have they visited Earth.

I think another intelligent race (or races) probably exists somewhere, but I don't think they've visited us.

Yeah, I'd vote for that too, but I voted before I read the thread for Probably instead because it's the closest there to what I believe. I don't think intelligent life would have any particular interest in Earth, because the chances of it being at a stage of development close enough to ours to make us interesting to them are extremely remote. I do believe it exists, either at a much earlier stage than us, or one so far advanced that we probably wouldn't understand it as 'life'.

Of course they exist.

With the multiple universes out there and billions upon billions of stars, anyone who thinks the human race is the only "intelligent" life form is a crackpot.

Have they visited earth?

I'm here. AlienSmiley.gif

The flights of fancy of a Medieval artist and an easily embellished ancient story do not constitute proof. I'll believe it when I see it.

I voted they exist and have not visited....

the odds stand in good favor that at least one other place had the right circumstances to produce life, the questions to be answered, are they of an intelligence of which we could undertsand, and would they consider us intelligent?

There have been way, way, way too many sightings and experiences with extra-terrestrials from people for me to discount their existence. Someone I know very well had an abduction experience when they were much younger. Besides, they just exist and visit the earth constantly.

And no, I haven't met any, though evidence might seem to indicate the contrary.

okay that's weird. i didn't write "gay sapiens" i wrote h_o_m_o sapens without the underscores. Why did the forum change it to gay? Any ideas?

Because some jerkass here once called someone a 'f*g', and that and some other euphemisms were subsequently filtered.

It doesn't matter. Even if there is life in some other solar system, they're too far away to have any impact on our lives. Why worry?

But how do you know they are too far away?

Do you know for sure that Aliens are not among us on Earth at this moment? Or have been here in the past?

This reminds me of Christians who are absolutely sure that there are angels and who believe they walk amongst us.

Hey. That's fine. I can buy that theory.

But then they should have an open mind as to whether there are aliens and that they may be amongst us as well.

The point is that 98% of the population does not know if there is aliens for sure and I don't think they are "worrying" about it. They just like to discuss it because it's interesting to them.

Think of it this way.

People sit around discussing religion thereby discussing deitys (sp?).

THey've never seen the deity(s), but they discuss them and attribute human qualities to them.

We don't call them nuts.

So some people discuss aliens and visitation.

They're not nuts either wink.gif
