Red Barchetta - true story for you?

Does anyone really have an uncle with a country place that no one knows about? I sort of did...Not a Red Barchetta but a bunch of other cars in one of the out building garages.

Yeah I enjoyed going there back in the 80s. I haven't been back for a long time.

Not an uncle on my side, but a great uncle- at one point he had three Deusenbergs.

 

One of them was in great condition, one was middling, and then the third was definitely a project hahaha.

It's Culcheth, which is near Warrington, but then again it's near a lot of places, ie Bolton, Manchester etc. So it's a country area in the middle of all that. And it's about 4-5 miles away from where I am now too.

I'm too lazy to find the link...but there really is a one lane bridge just outside of Rochester, NY. Near some farm country. 

The original bridge was replaced, I think in the late 90's. But it's still a 1 lane bridge over a little creek.The Erie Canal.     :) 

I figured this out after hearing Geddy say that Barchetta took place in Rochester.

No uncle, no country place. But I remember playing that pushing over 100 in my grandpa's 64 Belair down 2 lane country roads. Committing my weekly crime.

My uncle used buses and trolleys. He'd probably be responsible for the motor law.

No uncle, but  a friend whose Dad was a Chevy salesman.  In the 70's.  The friend would test drive executive customer vehicles to " break them in".  Big Impalas and station wagons mostly, but every now and then a hot Chevelle or Nova.  This go round it was an SS Chevelle Malibu with the cowl inducted 396 CI short stroke, 375 hp.  Some jagoff in a  289 HO Mustang wanted to GO!  Friend gave him a quarter car length before down shifting and mashing the accelerator. First the cowl induction operating and the woosh of air to the intake, then the LEAP!  Left that 'Stang in the dust.

Or even wants to know about, since he's one of those guys with two cars in the yard with no wheels, suspended on cinderblocks, surrounded by overgrown weeds. Neither car is a Red Barchetta.

 

Weekly crime? This guy commits them daily and has a rap sheet longer than the Epstein files.

 

It's best not to know about this particular country place, and just keep drivin'.
