I honestly think that if this tour makes to the end (and hopefully it does) I feel Alex and Geddy will call it a day!

I don't expect a new album, but I hope for live output from this tour, and more "vault" material from over the years! (although not in the overly greedy boxset realms that no one can afford)

I actually liked Geddy's lyrics on the "My Favorite Headache" album.

If they really rake in the $$$ on this tour (and all indications are that they will), I don't think Annika will allow them to rest on their arses.

Yep, she's already scolding them at the end of Working Man each night they play!

It’s almost comical with him and his sunglasses in the virtual darkness.

they need to add Middletown dreams and Available Light to the set to let him shine. He is being wasted to a degree.

My first show of the tour was last night, and I couldn't believe how hidden away Loren was. There was one song where they entirely cut off all the lights in his spot, and he stood there in complete and total darkness.

Loren is definitely underutilized, both on keys and vocals. I remember thinking that it just seemed unnecessary to add him. At least he has a good attitude and looks to be having fun. At one point the smoke machine behind Geddy started spraying water whenever it activated. It was landing on Loren, so he pretended like he was taking a shower 😂.

I think his nickname should be something like Ghost or Shadow.  LOL!

Geez, if he wanted to be minimalized like that by his own bandmates he should have applied to be the bassist for Metallica.

Is anybody recognising that she was already a very established musician as a department head and has a band? She was pretty clear in early interviews that she plans to return to her band and tour with them.

I love that they have all gelled for this tour, but let's remember it's not like they saved her and made her a star. In North America, we have different musical channels than in Europe. I would say they are very lucky to have proved to her that the tour was/is worth the effort, not that they have given her a reason to start making new albums with a band she really didn't know much about, even a year ago.

Not wanting to be cynical, but as huge fans of Rush, let's try to keep things in perspective.

I was just listening to Double Agent and realized Loren should wear a shirt with some of those lyrics for one of the concerts.

Front:

I run between the shadows

Back:

Where would you rather be?

Anywhere but here

Time will tell, but I get the feeling that Geddy and Alex want to make Anika a permanent part of Rush going forward.

Spindrift82, I had to log in to proclaim my complete and absolute joy seeing them on stage, watching a YouTube video from the first Chicago show.

So why not post it here?! I have already said many nice things about them, but Chicago? After a break? 11 (?) concerts into the tour? Wow :rush: :chickendance::7up: They are killing it.

They are looser, groovier, insanely unified. I can't wait for Toronto!!

(So, I get it,  if they chose to continue working together, that would be really, really great)

The Chicago shows are next level from what I've listened to so far. They are super locked in at this point.
