Cygnus 2112 Posted June 8 Posted June 8 I'm waiting for a 2nd full video to make an appearance with a focus on the entire stage, and not just Annika

Just watch the opening number. Did Alex make a few mistakes at the beginning or was that intentional? And the keyboard guy reminded me of the European contest episode of Father Ted.
blackhawkrush Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Nice tributes to Neil and John at the end, but I can't believe they didn't do Afterimage. They skipped second Alex solo on Natural Science again. Why do they do that? Anika knows the stuff, but I felt she was hitting the drums a bit softer. Geddy's voice held up. I was afraid there'd be problems after all those years. Comic relief was fine, especially the little Alex and "I never thought I'd pee again" line.

The omission that annoys me is the "musical box" section at the end of Xanadu. It's one of the best parts of the song. Come on guys we're only asking for another 30 seconds! 1
daBee Posted June 9 Author Posted June 9 So where is the keyboardist? Am I missing something? That announcement was small compared to Anika, and I didn't see him.

Jaminbenb Posted June 10 Posted June 10 (edited) Great video to see as a drummer! Total respect for her knocking the whole show down! That WASN'T an easy setlist to play for anyone! Let alone someone that wasn't a hardcore fan like the rest of us! I'm glad she isn't a "clone" that would cheapen this experience from where I sit. That said, I can't wait for the full frontal videos to show up to see all of the video and lights! Edited June 10 by Jaminbenb 2

If he keeps doing that night after night it's intentional. I've thought some notes were mistakes at first only to realize that's how he decided to play the songs now. 1

They still might, but I think they'd rather keep it celebratory and reflective rather than overt and heavy. Bravado, Time Stand Still The Garden are more subtle and perhaps even more of what they are going for. 1
