Sorry Guys, coming from N. Ireland I am not overly familiar with the rules concerning what we can or cannot bring with us to the LA forum.

Is a ‘fanny pack’ permitted?

Posted (edited)

Yes, but there are restrictions on size and whether the bag is clear or not.    Don't remember the details.

What I could find was this-

"Clear Bag Policy

To help ensure that Guests can enjoy an unforgettable and safe experience, we encourage Guests to travel light.

We welcome Guests to bring:

  • Clear bags that are equal to or smaller than 12 x 6 x 12
  • Small clutches / wristlets that are 9 x 6 are permitted and do not need to be clear
  • Diaper and medical bags accompanied by the Guest using them

All bags are subject to search."      Someone on reddit said that a lot of people have regular fanny packs and mini shoulder bags, but bigger bags have to be clear.

Thanks blueschica, We aim to travel to the concert light,  but I hoped to use a mini shoulder bag and my good lady wife planned to take a fanny pack. I am hoping this will work for us! I can’t wait but the joys of Waikiki beach are helping keep my mind off it!!

I hope they'll allow a hibachi in Detroit. I haven't had a good cookout in a long time.

I hope they allow binoculars at my venue.

Not judging, but your post made me think about the price of tickets and availability of seats when booking. You want to get a better view.

I hope you would be, in my limited experience, security at Rush concerts is more like waving in passive Grateful Dead fans than a crowd of hockey fans. Even a flask of scotch disguised as opera glasses, also known as Galilean binoculars (is that common knowledge? I never thought about them much before tonight) would be admitted?

So, you are far away from the stage? It would be doubly sad if you got high seats and will not be able to see them up close, or, you have decent seats and hope to study finger and hand movements, stage whispers and such. Care to share?

I used to be a security guard at MetLife Stadium in NJ. Oh boy, what a retirement part-time job.  Clear bags are more efficient at getting people into the stadium.  The lines move faster.
