JARG Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Just watched an interview with Howard Ungerleider and he said he will be using a "bunch of lasers the size of shoe boxes". 2
grep Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Good to know. But water is wet and the sky is blue. Howard loves his lasers and I do to. 1

Care to share a link? I feel like this tour is a reunion with many people, not just the stage performers. Remember an old article when Howard was freezing his ass off outside the station wagon, he coming up from the south to teach the guys the ways of touring? Today, he can share ideas of stage lasers. I think it's amazing, all these goofy and very professional people that still want to work together. So happy this is all happening!
WY Man Posted April 21 Posted April 21 I've always felt the light shows were a fundamental part of every RUSH concert. That and the sound quality have always been part of their concerts, along with their "GOAT" playing and performances.
rugen Posted April 21 Posted April 21 They aim to rival the recent Dream Theater tour, which featured an abundance of mind-blowing lasers. 1

Bahamas Posted April 29 Posted April 29 I watched the interview and I am even more excited about the tour. It's been a fishing trip of sorts to find and watch more clips about the tour and I am still months away from my ticket and this interview will buy me a lot of time. Rush was never a three piece band, obviously, the group of people from the early days that are still with them is just so amazing. But to hear and watch Howard talk about his experiences over the decades and what is happening on the tour is a very rewarding thing. He deserves so much credit and is so humble about it all, I am thrilled that he is on the tour. Also, educating for those who don't know much about lighting and laser shows. He is a master! Without repeating some things he said and not wanting to start distracting conversations, I think we are in for something spectacular. Thank you JARG for posting this! 2
Lurkst Posted April 29 Posted April 29 For some reason I'd never seen this documentary series until now. Plenty of footage of Herns in action here...
