Fifty years ago, Rush transformed anger into creation and released an epic that would become a modern myth; more than an album, 2112 was a cry of independence against the rigid way of thinking; even today it echoes as a reminder that music can be resistance, philosophy, and freedom.

I remember buying the 40th anniversary edition, actually two of them - I sent one to my older brother who got me into the band when I was a kid delivering the Globe in Willowdale on cold, slushy mornings before school with big goofy headphones under my toque.
