Jag2112 Posted April 1 Posted April 1 I'm sure most of you have heard that Geddy, Alex, and Anika are featured on the cover of the May 2026 issue of Classic Rock magazine. The issue contains a lengthy and revealing interview with Geddy and Alex about the upcoming tour. There's also a separate interview with Anika and, finally, a review of the p/g box set. This is definitely a great magazine to purchase, but if you want to read it first, you can do so at the link below. All The World's A Stage. Again ~ Grace Under Pressure Classic Rock Magazine Issue #352, May 2026 Enjoy- 3
James Bond Posted April 1 Posted April 1 I'm just awaiting my copy in the post (so I think I'll hold off on reading it), but I must again comment on what an invaluable resource your site is. 1

Todem Posted April 1 Posted April 1 (edited) Fantastic articles. Anyone who is still in that scoffing denial "it ain't Rush without Neil" is being a stubborn crab. This tour is gonna be phenomenal. The playing will be the most energetic playing the band has had since the T4E tour IMO. I can already feel the energy, intensity and focus just by reading both articles. And the Juno Award performance solidified my feelings. The set lists will be intense and filled with a ton of the signature prog Rush tunes we all love mixed in with the hits. Anika is bringing a renewed energy to the music. She would make Neil's spirit incredibly proud as she is taking the "feel" so seriously and not being hired to be a Robot Neil Peart clone. The boys knew exactly what they were looking for...someone who get's the feel and has love and joy in playing. Man I can't wait. So happy to be part of the fans attending this monumental tour for the greatest band to ever grace progressive rock. They are the Godfathers......this will be their true farewell on their terms. I couldn't be happier for Alex and Geddy. Because they weren't ready to say goodbye in 2015....but understood Neil had enough. They are doing this for their souls. And yeah...the money ain't bad either.....but the fact 100's of thousands of fans are paying to see them again.....speaks to the power and pull of their brilliance. Edited April 1 by Todem 8
Bahamas Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Thank you, Jag2112, for the posting. There is a lot of RUSH stuff going around lately, of course, but this interview answers more questions. I particularly like the details of Lorne (Gump) being so supportive. Many folks would know he is on the tour, but this shares so much more. And I have said it before, so many of the members of the band - not the 3, but the 10 or 15 - are part of the tour. Amazing. Looking up Lorne, I saw a site called The Canadian Music Scene, RUSH The Road Crew Interviews, lots of technical sharing. You probably know it, but otherwise it's great reading. I can't wait for Toronto! 1
Lurkst Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Had a long journey yesterday so bought this at the station. Some features of interest to me as well as Rush, with the Bowie, SAHB and Bob Mould articles, so definitely a worthwhile purchase. If it was the first bit of press they had done this year it would have been a more revealing interview, unfortunately the print media (magazines in particular) now lag a fair bit behind online stuff. Most interesting part for me was Geddy defending the reason for calling the project "Rush", he was getting pretty passionate there. 1

Enjoyed reading the article and am very excited to see this iteration of the band on the road. I think Neil would be happy that Geddy and Alex are still playing and still want to play. 2
Timbale Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Great article, a very enjoyable read. The only downer from it for me is that Anika isn't bringing her own tech for the tour. I don't want Lorne advising her on cymbal sounds or anything else. Bring Larry Allen out of retirement (that's a joke, I know that won't happen) or have fresh ears on it. Lorne was, in my eyes and ears, partially responsible for the decline of drum sounds in the live Rush world for the last handful of tours - keep his drum head preferences far away from that German master.
