They did experiment with different openers early on in the R40 tour before settling in with The Anarchist every night. that could happen again…finding the right vibe and audience tune-in for the first song is key and they know that. “Clockwork Angels” wasn’t the right vibe, Anarchist was. With five set lists the chance for opener Change-outs at least early on is good. 1
yyz305 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Another dark horse - Malignant Narcissism. Playback/tape music/guitar distortion as a long intro. Bass kicks in, extended a little, drums, more extended guitar noise, then all kicks in together. Saves Geddy's voice, gives all musicians a chance to get in the groove...extend the whole song to 4 or 5 minutes.
