78jazz Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I am grateful I saw him in concert 11 times and that I was on the earth with him for nearly 40 years. I remember where I was when I got the word and who told me (who is also no longer here). RIP. 2
Blue J Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Neil's passing was an absolute gut-punch to me. I remember I had just got out of a guitar lesson and logged into TRF- late afternoon, January 10th. The news had just broken here. I didn't even know he'd been ill, and I thought at first that it was a hoax. My firmest musical hero, and a personal hero as well.
ytserush Posted January 10 Posted January 10 I did what I guess is a tradition now. I pulled out the first Envy Of None CD Listened to it and when I got the the final track hit repeat on Alex's tribute a few times.
