losingit2k Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 As a Voice/ Music Teacher I can offer Geddy some hints to keep his voice healthy! Drink plenty of Water, and before sleep drink Warm Ginger- Lemon Tea with a bit of Honey! You'd be right as rain in the morning! 2
Weatherman Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 I'd love to hear that the new keyboardist will be doing some high harmony parts with Geddy staying in low chest voice (where he sounds great). That would make me feel more relieved about the vocals on the tour. 3

BanterFromTheCosmos Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I'm kinda hoping most of the songs will stay in their original key with Geddy getting some occasional help from a backing vocalist on higher registers he can't reliably hit anymore. Generally I don't really enjoy downtuning all that much. Just changes the feel of the song for me, but I completely understand why it's done. 1
Relayer2112 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 No worries, I heard they're getting David Lee Roth to help with backup vocals.

Geddy has always been pretty good at altering the vocal arrangements and melodies slightly live (Tom Sawyer and Closer to the Heart come to mind) to either avoid the high notes or make things easier on him - all while staying in the original keys. I'll be curious what approach he takes on this tour, but I largely suspect we'll see the original keys maintained except for the usual early stuff (2112). 5 hours ago, Relayer2112 said: No worries, I heard they're getting David Lee Roth to help with backup vocals.
