Thread(s) for Buying/Selling/Exchanging Tickets at Face Value?

Given the seemingly willy-nilly way in which shows have been announced for this upcoming tour (and the likelihood that many fans bought tickets for one or more of the originally-announced seven cities only to find out that new shows are coming that are closer or more desirable) ... should we set up a thread or threads to allow us to exchange or sell tickets to other Rush Forum members at face value?

 

I was able to secure face value tickets for Jun 30th in Fort Worth, and I would like to add at least one more Fort Worth show (if not all four of them), and I would just as soon be able to help out another fan who has tickets they don't need rather than wait for the secondary market to come to the realization that triple the price (or more) may not be a realistic goal for the ticket-flippers.

 

That having been said, if anyone has singles for Fort Worth on Jun 24. 26, and/or 28, hit me up.

I live in Fort Wayne and any time I see you guys talking about Fort Worth shows I have to do a double take and make sure I didn't overlook something extraordinary. 

 

Anyway a thread for this kinda thing isn't a bad idea.

How do we ensure that people who come on this board -- especially if they just joined and aren't well-known by the regulars here -- are on the up-and-up when looking to buy or sell tickets? We don't want to be an instrument of someone's scam.

For those have a ticket and are willing to sell ticket(s) at cost, perhaps the thing to do is post it on this thread before you list it for resale on ticketbastard or the ticket broker for your original purchase. At least you give forum members a fair shot before it becomes chum for the bots. 

 

Include a pic of the original receipt to support your cost claim.

I like this idea. I live in Tucson and I bought a nosebleed ticket for LA because that was my closest option and it's within a reasonable driving distance. Now that they've announced a show in Phoenix (Glendale), I'm going to try to go to that one instead. If I'm successful, I'll likely want to unload the LA ticket, and I'd be happy to know it was going to another Rush fan at a fair price.

 

Also, with the money I'd be saving by not having to drive 16 hours roundtrip or stay in a hotel, I can justify spending a little more on a better seat...

First, I have to say while I am a HUGE Rush fan (they are the soundtrack of my highschool years), I did purposely seek out this forum to see if I can sell my fort worth tix at face value to someone who really loves Rush. 

I am one of those people who bought tix for a show they would have to travel for, and then they announced a show in my home city, Atlanta. I bought the ATL tix and now have the fort worth tix for 6/24 on ticketmaster's ridiculous resell option, only because I didn't know how else to sell them and not get scammed. 

 

I would much rather sell them to someone who really wants to go at face value and not help ticketmaster make even more money. 

Tix are for 6/24, section 123. I will sell at face value and am happy to share the receipt.

I have a ticket for the first BOSTON show. Balcony 313 row 5 seat 4. Face value is 244 bucks. I would even let it go for 234 since that’s what I’ll get from stubhub if it sells there.

Resellers are asking more for MSG at this time. That's more or less it.

Those Philly seats are most likely not real. Ticketmaster has been selling 3rd row tickets for double that price. I also saw more front row seats available on seat geek than there actually were in the section. That may have also been for Philly as well, but don't remember exactly.

 

In other words, if it seems too good to be true...

There are so many seats for sale on TM - I dont now see the value of buying them aftermarket.

Take a look at the original 7 cities that were announced.  There are virtually no seats for those initial shows that were announced other than resale.

Is that ticket listed at face value?  Face value ticket listings was the intent of this thread, so fans can pass on tickets to other fans when they decide they can't use them.

Hi everyone, I’m selling my tickets for Rush in Toronto. I’m from Brazil and decided to adjust my trip and see Rush in Montreal and also catch the Iron Maiden tour.

 

I’m asking face value for each ticket:

- August 11 (Tuesday) - Section 110, Row 8, Seat 10 - CAD 494.90

Trade 2 MGG tickets for 2 ticket @ Mohegan Sun.

Hi, I don't ever post here, just in the past I've traded some tickets for older tours in the threads on here.  Please let me know If this is not the correct place to post this, or there is another place to post this where I may get more interest.

I have 2 tickets for the MSG show on Monday night, August 3rd. that I want to trade for tickets to EITHER of the 2 Mohegan Sun dates - Friday, 10/30 or Sunday, 11/01.
My 2 seats for the Monday 08/03 show at MSG are:

Row 10

Please let me know if anyone is interested in swapping tickets for these 2 shows.
I also have MSG tickets for Saturday 08/01, which I plan on going to.  I live in CT (where no shows were announced when I bought 2 dates in NYC), so I'd prefer to break the 2 shows up and see them in a different arena if possible.

Hello to all,

 

I have four seats in the back of the floor for the 7/22 Chicago show I'd like to sell.  They are Sec 7, Row 9, Seats 3-6.  I paid $393/ea in the initial purchase, but am learning the dark side of Ticketmaster, as it appears are many of you.  To recoup my $393/ea on Ticketmaster, someone would have to be willing to pay $550/ea.  Ticketmaster are the new scalpers!  LoL.  I've lowered my Ticketmaster price to $314.50, losing 20%, but someone would still have to pay Ticketmaster $433/ea for me to do so.  I'd like to offer them here for $347/ea.  That would reduce my loss to 12%, and allow someone to save 20% on the purchase.  Please message me if you're interested!
