zepphead Posted June 12 Posted June 12 It’s the day after the concert and to be honest I am still on cloud 9 (which is ironic as that is the name of the motel we are staying at here in LA!!) A totally amazing performance with a few personal highlights - Opening with Xanadu - my favourite Rush song Anika Nilles - a superb performance. She fits in perfectly with Geddy and Neil. I love her!!!! Entire performance of Moving Pictures - every song a winner. We are heading off on the last leg of our trip this morning and internet access may be scarce, so I may be MIA for a few days! Hope to catch up soon!
jjgittes Posted June 12 Posted June 12 In regards to Annika, sort of ironic that Thursday, I happened to be "sandwiched" between two females that were attending their first Rush concert(my daughter was one of them). Annika floored them both and they were raving about her. Given they had never seen Peart before, to them SHE is Rush, Geddy and Alex just happen to be two old guys that play the guitar for her music.! 1
