thizzellewashington Posted November 6, 2025 Posted November 6, 2025 I had a thought yesterday, normally I wouldn't think it would make sense for them to play any of the covers from Feedback but I do wonder if they'll do one of the two Yardbirds songs from that EP ("Heart Full of Soul" and "Shapes of Things") as a nod to Anika having played with Jeff Beck, who is on both of those songs. 1

I didn't have one song from "Caress of Steel". "2112" as the first song, I didn't have it to start, and begin. I included some of their biggest hits, fan favorites, and deep ones. the Spirit of Radio Stick It Out or Animate Driven the Main Monkey Business Time Stand Still (Neil's tribute) the Pass Bravado the Trees Closer to the Heart Secret Touch Mystic Rhythms Subdivisions Red Sector A Workin' Them Angels the Garden (Neil's tribute) Between the Wheels Mission Marathon Yyz Xanadu By-Tor and the Snow Dog La Villa Strangiato (An Exercise In Self-Indulgence) 2112 I Overture II the Temples of Syrinx Tom Sawyer Working Man Before I posted this, with a setlist, I should've maybe, included these songs I hope will be in the setlists. rugen Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Loren Gold, who worked with the Who, can't go wrong... It means that we are going to have songs from the 80's 2

But with “pad triggers” like we have today I can see Anika and Loren as well triggering a lot of the extra special things Neil did behind his massive kit and taking the burden off Geddy and Alex using their feet. The show is going to be epic. Rush never half asses anything. 3

I know Neil's secondary electronic kit was part of his style and part of the show, but realistically there is/was nothing that couldn't be done with a single set of Roland pads these days. Add in a dedicated keyboardist who can absorb the triggering for even the less intensive keyboard songs and Geddy and Alex can roam free! 1
TheAnarchist2112 Posted February 23 Author Posted February 23 just listened to the planet rock interview: one new song confirmed, and a few bits of info about the setlist: Working Man, Tom Sawyer (from original announcement video) Subdivisions (planet rock interview) Red Lenses was mentioned as being "talked about" by Ged and Al a few days ago
rugen Posted February 23 Posted February 23 From this interview, there will be a different set list every night:

I imagine probably similar to CA, and possibly with more variety and rotation (2 more song slots maybe) 1
rugen Posted February 23 Posted February 23 And from the Planet Rock interview, it will be more than 2 hours, at least 15 minutes more...
James Bond Posted February 23 Posted February 23 9 minutes ago, rugen said: And from the Planet Rock interview, it will be more than 2 hours, at least 15 minutes more... Indeed. Probably two hours and twenty minutes or so of playing, with the old twenty minute break in the middle. Still close to the old three hour block it used to be. I've said it in other threads from the beginning that I never truly believed it would only be two hours. I think Geddy just didn't want to set unrealistic expectations. The length and song list seems to grow as they get deeper into the rehearsals. 2
sb2112 Posted February 23 Posted February 23 As we continue to get more information about this, I’m very interested to see how the setlist shakes out from show to show. The info is now that they’re going to rotate 40 songs, 40% different from night to night, over five rotations. This is very interesting to me because we’ve never really seen a tour with this many variations from show to show. I am glad I’m seeing both Cleveland shows for this reason, it’ll be a good wildcard. I think it’s probably safe to say that the “hits” and Neil tributes will be part of the 60% that stays the same. So for now I’ll guess these will appear in the set every night: Working Man 2112 in some form The Spirit of Radio Tom Sawyer YYZ Subdivisions The Garden The Pass (seems like a good Neil tribute as it was one of his favorite lyrics) That wouldn’t add up to 60% of the show, but that’s what comes to mind for now.

rugen Posted February 25 Posted February 25 "Cut to the Case" and "Driven" would be a surprise from TheAnarchist2112's set. But still good songs
James Bond Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Driven might genuinely be a possibility if they care to mention the 30th Anniversary of Test For Echo, but I reckon they'll focus more on the belated anniversary of P/G due to the new release. I think it's a song Anika could have a lot of fun with. 2

sb2112 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 On the previous few tours I thought Driven was a good possibility to be revisited. I will continue to think that this time.
Lurkst Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Taking Moving Pictures as the gold standard (which it clearly is ) the average Rush song lasts 5.7 minutes. Therefore 21 songs will make up a two hour setlist. 40% set rotation would mean 8 songs being swapped out nightly. Those 8 songs would be pulled from around 27 with maybe 13 setlist standards going by their rehearsal plans. So some of the rotated songs would probably have to be used in more than one setlist.

Probably add about 15 or 20 minutes to it, because it seems that they may extend the length of the show, because they're adding more songs. Also, just taking into account the original announcement where they said a little over two hours.
