Or maybe when they do the residency at The Sphere too. 1
TheHonestMan Posted July 23 Posted July 23 Was A Farewell to Kings tuned down a whole step? It didn't sound that way live last night, but I just watched the video posted above and now I'm not sure.

Honestly I don't get what they're doing with FTK They rolled it out for the first time since 1979 and through August 1st on this tour they've played at a grand total of two times. If they're pulling it out at least let fans see it without having to win a mini lottery Honestly I've seen Closer Heart enough times already to last a lifetime. I don't get why they build their setlists for the casual fan in many respects Yes closer to the heart probably a must play, but there are many songs on this tour that they've played within the last two that A Farewell to Kings could easily replace 2

It makes no sense that rarely played stuff like By-Tor, The Analog Kid, New World Man, Anthem, and AFtK only appear on 1 or 2 nights. Setlist A was a big let down for me, like a simple compilation of the last few tours before the hiatus. B was much improved, with C and D being somewhere in the middle. It will be interesting to see what changes - if any - are made for the 2 show cycle starting soon. And I was a bit saddened to not see more material from Presto onwards. So many tracks from Vapor Trails could have served as a better tribute to Neil than Time Stand Still. Perhaps it was a conscious decision to avoid playing any songs live for the first time, out of respect for Neil. 1
WonderDude Posted Monday at 11:32 AM Posted Monday at 11:32 AM I think Anika has brought with her a lot of new fans. Or at least I think that Rush sorta feel that way. So I think that is partly why they play some of the more newb songs. But also, I think their choice of songs probably revolve around what seems appropriate as a tribute for Neil. 1

The only model we have is the mexico city nights and I don't think they're just going to continue playing just the C and B setlists every 2 nights for the rest of the tour, because that would mean dropping Nat Sci, The Garden, The Pass, AFTK and others just out of the blue 1
