The second you watch that "message to the fans" video, you immediately get the vibe that this is ultimately for the love of the fans, the love for Neil, and the love for what they've created in the 40 years they were together. This is as far from a "I'm almost 70 and still do cocaine please give me money to fund my habit while my band is now a revolving door of replacement members" kind of reunion tour as possible.

The 'for the love of the fans' bit gives me hope that they will come to the UK!!!

We're all friends here, aren't we??

AREN'T WE???   . Seriously, that's so great for you! Enjoy!

Ok. I’m over the shock.

Niles is insanely good and the more I think about it the more thankful I am that it isn’t Mike Portnoy.

I'm not sure we needed a silver lining for getting Anika Niles on drums, but the fact it isn't Mike Portnoy is definitely just that. It's the silver lining to a golden cloud.

I would have been totally fine with Portnoy, and I'm sure Geddy and Alex considered him. He clearly has the chops and probably already knows how to play many of the songs. But I do like that they went with an under the radar player.

I'm sure Portnoy would have been great. I was just jumping on the bandwagon to bond with fellow fans who were really happy it wasn't him.

WE NEED MORE INFORMATION!  Seriously, if anyone hears any details, please share.

**  Will the tickets be dynamic pricing? (Hope not!)

** The Rolling Stone article says there's going to be different "experiences" offered. What the heck are they and how much will those cost?

There's supposed to be a VIP experience (sometimes that's just expensive close seats), a "2112 platform" (whot?), and "curated travel packages"??  If anyone knows anything about these, please give details!

Don't want to be sitting in front of a screen on Thursday hitting refresh and trying  to decide ,

are we still getting the driveway repaved, or do we put up with dirty looks from the neighbors another year to do the big package

She was Jeff Beck's drummer in 2022. That is not a gig for just any drummer.

I'm going to propose something. It may stretch forum rules, so hoping admin will hear me out. We all know how the shark infested waters known as ticketmaster has become. Unpredictable 'presales', unrealistic markups, etc. I know the presale will be likely in groups of 2. Since my wife, relatives, etc. have no interest in Rush, I always go by myself. Here's the deal...if I get 2 tickets, I would like to offer one of them to a forum member at my cost. Not sure of how the mechanics of this would work, but we're all 'family' in a sense and I have reasonable trust that I wouldn't get ripped off by a forum member. If no one on the forum wants my extra ticket, it gets tossed back into the shark infested waters. I'm going to one of the chicago shows and prefer middle floor section. When, or if, I'm able to get reasonable seats, I'll post a thread on the forum and we can take it from there.

On one of the previous Rush tours, I resold my extra ticket on ticketmaster at a handsome profit. It basically paid for my ticket. I admit...probably a dickish thing to do. But the guy who bought the ticket next to me came 2-3 songs into the set, was late after intermission and was diddling on his phone alot of the time. Dude, why the f**k did you pay that much just to be disinterested? We didn't have any conversation and I wanted to keep it that way; 'oh yeah, I'm the guy that screwed you on your ticket...thanks!'. So hoping to make amends for my past sins.

The forums members have been keeping the fire burning, so hopefully we can help each other enjoy this last go without breaking the bank.

What a surprise indeed, if this what they want to do at this time in there life more power to them, As far using RUSH name for the limited shows I'm ok with it why start a new name for a handful of Shows when the name RUSH been a household name for 50 Years why change now and since they're playing RUSH songs it only makes sense to use the RUSH name?

In my opinion

First time here in awhile lol. Super stoked to see the show (whichever I can make it to). Hopefully it’s a huge success and they add some dates after a rest.

Looked up Anika and she’s a kickass drummer. To anyone mad she’s a woman, or that she’s not your favorite drummer… look I hope she kills it but I’m going to see Geddy and Alex and to sing my favorite music with thousands of fellow fans. Just enjoy the show, people.
