Rushfest Canada rollcall

Hey there! I am gearing up for my first trip ever to Toronto for Rushfest Canada on August 1st and 2nd. Anyone else here planning on going?

Not many replies.

Folks should google the event, it's not officially "band sanctioned" but looks like a good lineup of music and guests at two venues over two days. 

 

I did not pay attention to any band fan events during my life, and since I have there was never an opportunity to travel at the right time. I am conflicted now, I will be paddling away in Temagami for two weeks and not exiting until around the 5th or 6th. No Rushfest Canada for me. I can't abandon the trip early and leave the group piled into a single canoe. But I really, really want to meet other fans and feel the RUSH tribute atmosphere. Ugh, life is full of hardship. 

 

Thank you for posting this caskof43 (and Fountain is one of my favourite tunes! I have a character in Lord of the Rings Online named after it).

I want to know as well, since I was travelling and could not attend. I suspect it was a similar vibe to the tribute they did for Neil, dubbed "A Night For Neil". I loved that event, but thought this one would be a repeat of that, so I wasn't too upset about missing it. Lots of GREAT cover bands, but at the end of the day, just covers.

It was a blast! The cover bands were great, especially Moving Pictures. Terry Brown signed my CD copy of Caress of Steel and was an all around nice guy. It was really fun being around that many Rush fans for a couple of days. Good vibes!
