1-0-0-1-0-0-1 Posted Thursday at 04:15 PM Posted Thursday at 04:15 PM “After Neil passed, it didn’t take more than a few minutes before we started getting e-mails from all kinds of drummers who wanted to audition for the band..." I'm going to assume Alex didn't mean "a few minutes" literally. But still, point taken. if you're a pro drummer and a big Rush fan, actually landing that gig would be beyond a dream come true, but give the guys some time to collect themselves and actually announce plans to move forward before spamming their inboxes. 2

Maybe a lot of non-pro drummers also wanted to audition. “Hey, my Rush cover band is pretty good! We’ve got lots of fans! I’m sure Alex and Geddy will give me a shot…..” Edited Thursday at 04:40 PM by Principled Man
grep Posted Thursday at 04:44 PM Posted Thursday at 04:44 PM (edited) Hmmm. One doesn't have to think too hard to come up with a name that could have been the first to ask. It would be a dream come true to play theaters and arenas with Geddy and Alex. Edited Thursday at 04:45 PM by grep 1

PurpleHayes Posted Thursday at 05:49 PM Posted Thursday at 05:49 PM I'm sure one of those drummers reaching out was this guy/girl: 1

Union 5-3992 Posted Thursday at 08:05 PM Posted Thursday at 08:05 PM Those drummers clearly had bad timing. 2 1

Anyone who did that never understood the band.
