Im just curious, I'm not planning to travel to the UK for this but I have a friend who is going to try.  It was just announced yesterday, a "Back to the Beginning" concert in Birmingham (Aston Villa soccer/football venue) on July 5th.  It's a heck of a concert, the original Black Sabbath, with Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Alice In Chains, Halestorm, Anthrax and Mastodon on the bill, along with Ozzy Osbourne solo, also a lot of others. (KK Downing, Rudy Sarzo, Duff McKagan, Tom Morello)  (Tried to post the poster but Imgur acting weird tonight.)

My question would be, Ozzy has been in pretty ill health lately, can he do one set, much less two?  There have been rumors that it's why the rest of the bill is so killer; that people will feel its worth it even if Ozzy can only sit in a chair or something.  (Who was the TRF Swedish guy that was the Ozzy expert? Zumbi?)

Anyway, Ticketmaster.co.uk  or LiveNation.co.uk    if you are motivated!   Hope you can get them!

Ozzy can't walk anymore because of his Parkinson's. Both him and Sharon have mentioned this recently. So I don't know how much he can do or how he will do it. Maybe they'll just have him sit on a throne in the middle of the stage and sing?

Phil Collins did the same thing a couple years ago with Genesis so I figure Ozzy would do just fine. He seems to have a stronger voice than Phil at this stage too so it may work out pretty well.

That's what I'm thinking, I hope so! Some kind of final closure would be nice for him and his fans.

Is Bill Ward going to be part of it? If not then it's pointless imo.

Yes. Bill Ward is in.

I would love to see this.  I hope Ozzy is up for it.

This is still my favorite photo of the band.

Whatever happened to that system we were all using to watch the r40 shows - I can't remember what it was called - where a bunch of people would use their phone cameras and sign in, and we'd get the majority of the show from different views?  Geez, that was 10 years ago!

Periscope. Yeah, I used it for a little while after the R40 shows but haven't heard of it since

Apparently Ozzy is only barely in. I read this morning that he will participate in 'bits and pieces'.

I get it, the man can no longer walk.

Yep. And while it is billed as an event centering around him, the rest of the lineup ain't too shabby.
