Is that 12 US sizes? I'm an 8 UK, a little bit smaller. :drink:

Yep, 12 US.  I have an online retailer that specializes in wide size shoes, major brands as well as shoes made for them.

New Balance 840's.  Patented Dad sneakers.  Wide width.  Absolutely need these...

I've never worn, nor needed to wear anything but the standard "D" width in any shoe I've tried on but Nikes are too narrow for my feet. I suspect the "last" they originally used was slightly narrower than what other makers use. I know they make some shoes in a wide width, but not many.

I had problems with Nikes being too narrow.

Nike are too narrow for me and they would make my toes cramp at times so I am glad I found the Asics.

Trainers? I do wear Vans. Have been since high school. It's either that or boots. I have Durango harness boots and steel toe work boots. Sandals at home when it's 70+ and I'm  doing nothing.

For some brands, and types of running, and walking shoes I wore, and wear, they are "Reebok" including black shoes looking like dress shoes, "Nike", "Adidas", "New Balance", and "Fila".  When it rains, is wet outside, and if it snows a little bit, I have "Wolverine" grey hiking shoes I wear.  In case, I have black boots, too.

I have some Fila basketball shoes, Grant Hill 2. I bought them around 1996, they're a bit battered and worn now but still comfortable.

New Balance 574s

Those are hip.  I feel like I am too old for them.  I wear 840s which are GREAT for my feet.  I don;t wear the bright white dad shoes.. lol.  Those white ones and jean shorts (jorts) are the official uniform of dads in suburbia everywhere!

Makes me think of my Nike Cortez shoes in junior high school.

I find it hilarious that jorts, the ugliest type of shorts ever devised by human beings have been so universally embraced by older white dudes who seem completely oblivious to how awful they look in them!

I'm wearing some Adidas trainers right now that are comfortable but they're absolute murder to put on. I got them a few weeks ago half price. Here's what they look like.
