Or are you purely a dress shoe person? Or maybe it's rugged hiking boots wherever you go? Maybe like Segue Myles you're hush puppy addict?

Usually New Balance but I have a pair each of Nike and Puma.

I had some Puma 80s throwback ones. I had them in the box for ages, but when I finally tried them on they felt totally uncomfortable, and the colours were bad too, orange and pink. I don't know what the hell I was thinking when I bought them, anyway I chucked them out forthwith!

I have a pair of New Balance cross-trainer/off trail shoes somewhere.

I used to swear by New Balance but they began to make so many white pairs, I switched to Asics after I found a pair at a thrift store.  They have gel soles and really nice support.  At the time my job had me standing on cement floors for 5 plus hours a day so they really helped my knees.

I have 3 pair of them right now and will continue to use them.

P.S. the original pair I bought (used) lasted 10 years.

Asics and Sketchers as they are both well cushioned. (Cos old boys like me need to protect their knees!!!)

New Balance are the best made sneakers/running shoes out there, and I wore them for years, but their designs in the past couple of years seem a little loud for my taste. I've switched to Brooks.

Primarily the 990 New Balance but I recently got a pair of Pumas that fit and look decent. I can't wear Nikes because they make their shoes too narrow and I don't have wide feet.

I normally wear Asics but I also have a pair of Chuck Taylors to wear when my sisters wear theirs (long story). I like the look but I honestly don't see how Geddy wears them all the time. They have zero support and I had to put gel  insoles in them!

Brooks for serious treadmill and trail work. I've been talking to @That One Guy about getting a nice used C7 in the spring, so I'll be picking up a pair of simple, white, New Balance.

This doesn't make sense does it? They're too narrow but you haven't got wide feet?

I've never worn, nor needed to wear anything but the standard "D" width in any shoe I've tried on but Nikes are too narrow for my feet. I suspect the "last" they originally used was slightly narrower than what other makers use. I know they make some shoes in a wide width, but not many.

New Balance, period.  When you're Bigfoot like me (not so much the 12, but 6E width), there's not much choice.

Oh I used to love my chucks high tops. The family joke was 'I wonder what color shoes he's wearing to Thanksgiving this year?'. Like you, my feet needed something less primitive for support as I aged. I even got a 'version 2' of the chucks that have some arch support, but not nearly enough.

last sneaks I got were 2 for 1 at Meijer for about $40 total. made in 'gina. Wholesale merchandisers LLC. The sign of quality. They might last a year and then back to the store for more cheapees. I dress only slightly better than a homeless guy even though I don't need to. Wife keeps threatening to throw out my favorite sweatshirts.

My feet are slightly wide but I haven't had any problem with Nike shoes.

Is that 12 US sizes? I'm an 8 UK, a little bit smaller. :drink:
