Good list, I'll add the original animated The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.

Planes Trains and Automobiles feels more like a Christmas movie, so it belongs here.

The start of 'Life of Brian'.

It was a tradition for me and my high school friends to watch it every Christmas eve. :)  Loved it.

I've started a yearly tradition of watching Violent Night since seeing it. It's a pretty funny action comedy with lots of homages to older Christmas movies.

The Ref - Spacey is a creep but I love this movie.

both Die Hards - Yes, 2nd one is Christmas.
Long Kiss Goodnight

Home Alone - Underrated John Williams score.

Running Scared (1986)

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

Trading Places - Ditto New Year's.

Make the case for the "best of" status!

A Christmas Carol is always on my list, too, but I've never quite understood the affection for the Sim version. Too much of its time, maybe. I've got a soft spot for the Patrick Stewart one from TNT, and I've even learned to tolerate the kinetic adhd of the Jim Carrey animated version. The "dark" one with Guy Pearce is an abomination and should be confined the to Krampus bin.

Yes, and how about all the British comedies and their Christmas specials.

I fear the good old days where lots of great comedy Christmas specials premiered on UK TV are over. It all looks a bit dull this year.

Oh yes, I didn't mean the specials in this century.

Loved that inside joke ending for that Russell movie.  Definitely a better movie than that disappointing comeback, Snatched.

Might as well mention the other Shane Black Christmas action movies, Lethal Weapon and The Nice Guys.  Won't be watching the former for the same reason as The Ref regarding actors who repulse me personally.

Even though it's not a great movie, I had a blast mocking Santa Claus (1985) MST3K/Rifftrax style on Showtime streaming a few years ago.  Mike, Kevin, and Bill need to get to this one.  Dudley Moore as an elf, Lithgow hamming it up as a cartoonish villain and the non dude Lebowski as Santa.

Enough said.
