I give the slight edge to VHI as an album just because I’m more likely to put it on than Who’s Next, but Who’s Next definitely has the higher highs for me, of which Won’t Get Fooled Again is the peak.

Yeah, this is kind of where I am. VH1 was such a powerful debut.

The Who, all day.  Who's Next was brilliance throughout.  A hale and hearty "f**k YOU" to critics asking "Your last one, how you going to top that?" (Tommy).  The lads threw it back in their faces.

Wasn't listening to VH when it came out.  Good music, but it's not touching this.

Van Halen is excellent, especially as a first album, but Who's Next is one of my all time favorites.  Definitely had to pick that.  

 

I actually would have picked Behind Blue Eyes, (always liked that -"when my fist clenches, Crack it open")  but Wont Get Fooled Again works too!

May be odd for me but who all the way.

 

Not huge on all of the Who but i'll take them every day over VH.

 

Edit:  just Played Who's Next even NOT being a big fan....this is a god tier album.  jeez it's good.  Sorry VH. Who's Next cooks you, lol

The Who's best album... but it's up against a landmark debut. Maybe it's generational. VH defined what music would become during my teenage years.

I can't decide but will say the ablum cover of who's next wins over VH1 and has got be one of the best covers ever.

Easy vote for The Who.  Song was hard but went with Won't Get Fooled Again.

Van Halen were great players and created their own little corner of the hard rock world...but the songwriting is just no contest for me.  The Who all the way.
