I'll collect nominations these, and make a poll to narrow them down if there's enough interest.  The definition of overplayed is whatever you want it to be.  Try to wait five songs between nominations if possible.  Apologies if this was done before.  Thanks!

I'll start.

1).  Layla - Derek and the Dominoes

The Star Spangled Banner.

With no age limit I'm going old school. 200+ years of this is enough.

As long as we're going with Zeppelin, Rock and Roll

Don't get me wrong, I love Phil Collins, but his biggest hits played on the radio at my old job too damn much for me to enjoy them anymore.

I like song #4!!!! WHAT?!?!

#12 Born in the USA - Bruce Springsteen

there are plenty of Bruce songs I'd rather hear (jungleland, rosalita, thunder road, spirits in the night, Tenth avenue, streets of philadelpia) , but all ever hear is this one.

A New Jersey dude who was writing a song verse about baseball but made a Freudian slip about that glorious day's drug indulgence?

Didn't think of that.  I thought it was that the guy who portrays himself as the archetype of a  blue collar guy didn't even know elementary terms about baseball.  But you're probably right.

Can we talk?  Not only was this song played on the radio a billion times, but my best buddy was in a band, and they played it a billion times.

There are several songs that I don't want to hear ever again, thanks in part to my buddy's band....LOL
