I realize she has other songs that did well, maybe even better than some of the songs here, but these are the only ones I have regularly heard on the radio in my life.

Notably, four of the seven come from the same album. There aren't a lot of artists in general with four songs from a single album (let alone a single side of vinyl) that get regular radio play, so that's pretty cool.

Tough one, as they are all great, with only Best Shot being easy for me to eliminate.  Ultimately went with You Better Run.   Damn, that was a great album!

Between the two non-rockers,  We Belong wins.

Pat Benatar's "In the Heat of the Night" to "Wide Awake In Dreamland" without including 'Live From Earth" because it is a live c.d., and album are, and have been a run of great studio c.ds, and albums.  From "Precious Time", and "Get Nervous", the songs "Promises In the Dark", and "Shadows of the Night", have been classics, and timeless ones, too.

For sure!

And I had Live From Earth on cassette and loved it.  Great version of Hell Is For Children

I went with "Hit Me With Your Best Shot"!  I always loved the way she delivered the line,  "before I put another notch in my lipstick case . .  ."      In the Heat Of The Night is a great album.  I was working in a bank shortly after that and it cheered me that she used to be a bank teller while waiting for her big break.

Same.

I might have picked Promises In the Dark if it were included.

I lost her at "Wide Awake in Dreamland"

Debut - 7 the Hard Way rank up there with Rush and Zeppelin as my all time favorite music

I love Wide Awake but 7 The Hard Way is exceptional!

Once we hit the 90s, she really lost steam.

Love seeing some Pat love here!

Shadow is my favorite of the non Billie Jean soundtrack hits with some great soloing by her underrated husband.

Love is a Battlefied is probably the best, it bears relistening more than Heartbreaker.  Enjoyed You Better Run, nice remake of the Rascals song.

Heartbreaker is probably the heaviest metal one, but I think I'll go for Love is a Battlefield. She looks at her hottest in the video too, ripped stockings and all, I think she was too old for that kid though...

Absolutely my favourite too! And the video is lots of fun.

Nice to see you appreciate Pat!

Giraldo is such a great guitarist.  Very under rated.

And a great songwriter as well

What? That was one of her highest charting songs. It may have went to number one.
