edhunter
It was the ump’s fault!! The Dodgers cheated!! Everyone was stunned when Boone was hired over people like Don Mattingly. He has wasted the prime years from Aaron Judge. Hopefully they fire the guy they should’ve never hired to begin with. But then again, Judge has shown he’s not quite cut out for the big time. He was cruising toward the AL home run record two years ago, and then started slumping when he got there. There’s a certain killer instinct truly great players have, and he’s just too nice. He doesn’t hate losing as much as he should.

Apparently the one that grabbed the glove is a college buddy of Rob Gronkowski. https://x.com/UpAndAdamsShow/status/1851657572128059855?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1851657572128059855|twgr^9f544c82339d12f3fa896a5cb2d0a342ed719d08|twcon^s1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fsports.yahoo.com%2Frob-gronkowski-says-he-was-college-friends-with-yankees-fan-who-grabbed-mookie-betts-glove-190200941.html

I don't know if Boone could manage his way out a of a paper bag, and I'm guessing that the chorus calling for his firing is warming up the vocal chords, but surely last night, at least, wasn't his fault? I'll admit I didn't watch the end of the game, but that 5th inning was brutal and there was nothing he could do about that. Watching that from the top step of the dugout has to have been one of the worst experiences a manager could ever have, slow motion car crash and all that. Getting to the WS is pretty good, but does he keep his job?

Principled Man
I'm reading classic "would have" rationalizations here and there on the internet. Predictable efforts to say that the Yankees "lost" the game rather than giving credit to the Dodgers. If the 5th inning hadn't happened, if Justice catches that ball, the Yankees would have.....the Dodgers would have.... blah blah blah...... The Yankees were leading 6-5 in the 8th. The Dodgers scored two runs and won the game. The Dodgers beat them. That's it. Baseball, football, whatever sport you're playing, it's all the same. When you're leading late in the game, and you lose, then that's it. The other team beat you. It's childish to whine about stuff that happens early in the game, as it's irrelevant.

TheAccountant
My mom grew up in The Bronx and was taken by family to see games. She got to see Joe D. play and, based on when she was taken to games, I believe she got to see Lou G. play. She is not certain but I am fairly certain she did. She defiantly saw Joe D. play. Depite all this, she was a Brooklyn Dodger fan. She is not a big baseball fan but she is pleased with the outcome. Dad just displikes the Yankees so he is happy. Me? I am a Mets, Red Sox and Cubs fan - so you bet I am happy with the outcome (even if not happy that the Dodgers beet the Mets). Now if my Celtics can just repeat..... invisible airwave
My closest minor league team is moving just south in Ontario apparently. Went to a lot of their games when they were the Angels team. Even Ron “Penguin” Cey is involved. Now if they could just get the IE 66ers closer to Cucamonga. Don’t feel like going to the rough San Bernardino neighborhood. https://abc7.com/post/ontarios-new-100-million-sports-complex-will-home-dodgers-minor-league-team/15484977/ Edited November 5 by invisible airwave
