Snell with the no-hitter. Are the Giants happy they kept him at the trade deadline? Does the no-hitter do anything for them, really, playoffs-wise? Think what they might have had in other players. It's a lot of attention, though.

Their relief pitching has let them down time after time. And now that they've given up some starters, it should get even worse.

Actually, 23 is the MLB record.  21 is the AL record.  Strangely enough, 26 is the all time winning streak, you'd think it would be harder to be supremely NC ad than supremely good.  And the all time winning streak was by a 4th place team that finished 86-66 and started the season 2-17.  The winning streak was part of a 31 game home stand.

 

Baseball was very different in 1916.

Brewers are up 10-0 on the Braves in the 8th inning.  
Willy Adames hits a drive deep into left-center.  
The center fielder catches the ball a step away from the wall, then drops the ball as he hits the wall.  Umpires call it a catch.  
 

The Brewers challenge the call and get it overturned.   
 

OK, I don’t know about anyone else, but I may have let it go.

Saw him pitch his last game at Angel Stadium that year in September 93 the week I started junior high.  Angels won but it was a no decision.
