Raiders are cleaning house!  McDaniels and Ziegler are out, Garappolo benched.

That's harsh, but Vegas has been terrible.

One day later, the Raiders tweet this:

"Join us in wishing Jimmy Garappolo happy birthday"!

Damn, that's cold.

OK, Herbert...time to be the QB everyone in the media thinks you are.

From Oct 16:  "Justin Herbert threw his 13th career interception in the 4th quarter of a one-score game tonight. That’s 5 more than any other QB in the NFL since entering the league in 2020."

How about that AFC North?  Ravens, Browns, Steelers, Bengals all with winning records.  Which team is least likely to make the playoffs, do you think?

Logically it's the Steelers, who are nowhere as good as their record indicates.   They've been out gained in every game.   Next up is probably the Browns, but their defense is so good, their chances can't be discounted.

That was gonna be my answer, too . . . But who'd replace them in the playoff picture? I'm hoping for all of them to make it, just for the lolz.

I was looking at their respective remaining schedules and the Ravens' is brutal.  Cleveland and Pittsburgh's are much easier by comparison.  It looks like the Ravens are the best team, but they are going to take a pounding each week, win or loss.

Right now, Buffalo is outside looking in.  And they'd be close to ten point favorites over the Steelers on a neutral field, I'd suspect.   Even the Texans and Jets are better at this point, and despite the comical hype over Justin Herbert, so is San Diego.   Or, rather, the AFC team that plays half their games in LA.

Packers/Steelers:  Commercial break.  A commercial for the NCIS TV show was upside-down....

OK, I get it.  The NCIS is going “down under” …..in Australia.

Watching the end of the Ravens vs Browns game. Browns kicker appears to kick game winning field goal but there was a flag. Before we got any explanation a commercial came on and then it went to a sort of test pattern with stuff about the Seahawks and whoever they were playing. Eventually another commercial and then to the Seahawks game. I have no idea who won the Ravens game but I know I can find out easily enough.

Campbell goes for it on 4,th and 2 from the 34 yard line tied at 31.  Make it, then run the clock to 2 seconds before winning it.

Don't tell ed but this decision was based on analytics, which ostensibly ruin the game.

Thanks to the Texans' last minute winning FG against the Bengals, a Florida bettor won $5.5 million.

The gambler wagered $500,000 on a four-leg NFL same-game parlay through the Hard Rock Bet app, which meant all four bets had to win in order to get a payout.

The $5.5 million prize is one of the largest parlay wins ever reported by a U.S. sportsbook.

The four separate legs were:

  • Devin Singletary over 51.5 rushing yards.
  • Devin Singletary anytime touchdown.
  • Over 45.5 points in the game
  • Houston Texans money-line.

That was just beee zaarrrr.  Denver kicker shanks the GWFG, but Buffalo has 12 on the field, Denver drills the 2nd chance.

I smell a FIX!
