Nova Carmina
Okay, I'll start it! Spring Training games have begun, new rules are in effect, and Manny Machado has the first batter timing penalty! Any bold predictions for the year? Any tame ones?

Chicago Cubs, 2023 World Series Champions! That's a bold prediction, not that I believe there's any chance of it happening. A real.bold prediction...the new pitch clock rule will cause a New York Yankees- Boston Red Sox game to clock in at less than 3 hours. A tame prediction. Despite having perhaps the two best players in baseball, the Angels will once again miss the playoffs. And a second one...after seeing Albert Pujols play in the NBA celebrity game, Yadi Molina will invite him to join his basketball team. Both of them will quit when the referees refuse to call 3 second violations every other possession, and start their own league where referees will call the game the right way. Finally, Adam Wainwright will retire after being pulled in the thirteenth inning after throwing 170 pitches, saying he wants to go to a team that will let him finish what he starts, only to interior after a call from Dusty Baker.
invisible airwave
Looking like 8 straight losing Angels seasons since some cheapskate douchecanoe won't sell the team to someone who gives a damn. This is the season Jo Adell should prove himself or he'll end up being trade bait like Brandon Marsh for Philly. FU Arte. I'm with the "JayViper" guy in the comments: this is good. Get in the box, stop wasting time. There will be real games settled this way, and then everybody will get on board. Bring it!* (* I reserve the right to be really pissed about this rule if it hurts one of my teams, to be clear)
Nova Carmina
PECOTA says 62 wins for the Royals; I'm taking the over. 85.5 wins for the Cardinals; I'm taking the over. 80 wins for the Marlins; I'll take the under. And 77 wins for the Cubbies? Hmm, I'll take the under! The Mets blow up in the playoffs again, after injuries to their superannuated pitching staff. The Astros will be distressingly good again. invisible airwave
Not major but college. Still, in the words of Jimmy Dugan, "You like like a penis with a hat on." This is even worse than the Lawrie Blue Jays call years ago where he slammed the helmet right in his face hitting him. The first one was terrible, but the second one was clearly an "eff you kid, for showing me up" call. That was pure spite. 1

Too bad that won't happen with Devil Hernandez since Rob Antoinette is a gutless coward.

invisible airwave
Same thing happened on my team with Kendrys Morales in 2010. They probably would have finished above 500 instead of one game below if that injury didn't occur.

laughedatbytime
Japan wins the WBC, as Ohtani strikes out Trout to end the game, 3-2. Pretty exciting stuff, Olbermann missed out on a classic.
