Union 5-3992 Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Geordie Grepp - The New Sound This first listen is a mind bender. It's like if you crammed Peter Gabriel, David Bowie, King Crimson, and Frank Zappa into an album. I may need some time to process it.

Segue Myles Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Bruce Springsteen- The River Possibly my number one double album. This album is just the full spectrum of Springsteens talents and the way it captures the feeling of a concert, which was by design, is something I'm always impressed by. 2
bluefox4000 Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Brand X-unorthodox Behaviour This has phil Collins on Drums. Plus for me. also this album is just fire. Mick 1
Segue Myles Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 Taylor Swift- The Tortured Poets Department (The Anthology) Okay I've played this little this year. Absolutely gorgeous in the right mood!
bluefox4000 Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 Steely Dan-The Royal Scam. (10/10) Still my fav band and it isn't close at all. Mick 6
Segue Myles Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 Bruce Springsteen- The River Bruce Springsteen- The Ties That Bind: The River Collection Yeah, this is my obsession atm 2
Segue Myles Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Blood Incantation- Absolute Elsewhere I don't know how to explain this, but this album is f***ing insane. Is Hemispheres, Blood Mountain, Pink Floyd and Yes had a baby... 2

Segue Myles Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 Nightwish- Yesterwynde It just keeps on getting better and better for me. I think it a great shame that they aren't touring right now, as these new songs I am sure would soar live.
bluefox4000 Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 (edited) Mastodon-Crack The Skye. (10/10) This is my fav Mastodon album. Always liked it better than Blood Mountain (which not afraid to admit....i think is very good but never totally gelled with) Always found CTS far and away better. bluefox4000 Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 (edited) Mastodon-Emperor of Sand(6/10) i dunno people say this one's great i don't hear it. The melodies aren't strong. the hooks not nearly as memorable. It has moments but it's largly forgettable and it must be true cause i never remember how most songs go. and i find myself thinking. Gee this song is still going? Even the shorter ones. they're endless. Mick Edited December 20, 2024 by bluefox4000 1

Mick I think Hushed And Grimm is better than both of them! 1
